Aria's POV
I could hear children crying inside. Pack children who were trapped.
I crashed through the front door and the heat hit me like a wall. Smoke filled my lungs immediately and I started coughing but I pushed forward.
"Where are you?" I shouted. "Call out if you can hear me!"
"Here!" a small voice cried. "We're here!"
I followed the sound and found them in what used to be the dining room. Five children, the youngest couldn't be more than six years old, huddled together and crying.
"Come on," I said. "We need to go now."
I grabbed the smallest one and told the others to hold hands and follow me.
The ceiling was starting to come down and flames were everywhere. I could barely see through the smoke but I pushed forward, following my memory of the layout.
We were almost to the door when a beam fell right in front of us, blocking our path.
"No, no, no," I muttered and looked around for another way out.
