Although F rank beasts only provide 1 point, Calux wasn't about to leave free points for others.
Using Void Steps he started appearing next to the nearest beasts which were all in the F rank, he appeared like a ghost and then with nimble movements he would decapitate the monsters one after the other, storing their heads in the storage space to extract the crystals later.
At a certain point, people started to show up, and what they saw made their scalps tingle.
How can a single awakener be so skilled. at such an early age?
The swordsmanship displayed was leagues above what the current top talents in the world were able to achieve.
Seamless movements without wasted effort, one cut, one kill.
Everyone was already aware that Calux was at the C rank, however, being able to kill an F rank beast in a second with just a single slash was not something simple either.
Calux wasn't using mana, this was pure clean swordsmanship.
After a few minutes of heading in deeper, Calux checked the top scores.

1. Calux Voidbane: 79
2. Seraphiel Orithis: 68
3. Karina Brax: 33

In just a few minutes Calux had killed seventy nine beasts.
This was unprecedented.
If Calux and Seraphiel weren't here, Karina would undoubtedly be called a genius, alas, you cannot compete with Sovereigns.
He continued cutting down beasts until he finally reached a clearing where a draconic croc was sleeping.

"Finally I found something worth fighting!"
Calux screamed in excitement, alerting the beast.
It opened its eyes and looked at the human in front of it.
Usually the humans it killed were always in groups, however this one stood alone which meant he was either stupid or strong.
"Human... Leave before I decide to eat you alive."
A deep voice came from the beast, making Calux break into a sadistic grin.
"Hmmm.. How about no? Void Steps."
BOOM!
Calux's sword clashed with massive tail of the croc, leaving a deep gash almost cutting through it in one go.
"Hm.. Tough skin, I should of used Void Slash.."
Father, anything draconic is always tougher, remember our skin is tougher, and the way we channel mana is also better.
Nyra pointed out what should have been obvious, but Calux in his excitement forgot.
'What would I do without you my daughter?'
Humph! It's good that you know who is always protecting you!
"Arrogant human! How dare you hurt me!"
The beast roared and started condensing a fiery breath.
BOOM! BOOM!
He started launching what looked like small balls of fire every time he opened its mouth, but Calux just void stepped elsewhere.
"AGH!! STAY IN ONE PLACE!"
Calux, although enjoying the moment knew he couldn't afford to stay in one place, else he loose first place.
"I'll end this quickly, thanks for the fun though."
Calux smiled and void stepped just below the beast which was still charging another blast, and finally..
"Void Slash!"
Calux cut through the neck of the beast as if it was made of butter, separating the beast's head from the body, blood gushing out a few seconds afterwards.
He saved who two pieces of the beast this time around, with this type of beast if he couldn't find anything better, he could ask a blacksmith to forge an armor that could rival a B rank armor because of the tough skin and scales, this would greatly help Seraphiel later on.
This will make Sera very happy, but I'll keep it a secret until I can get it, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
He decided to check the scores again, he had killed quite a few F ranks but had jumped from F rank beasts to a C rank one, it was quite the jump, but he couldn't find anything else on this side of the forrest yet.

It was definitely getting progressively harder to find beasts, considering so many students were competing at once, you could see at a glance how the amount of beasts killed in this time had slowed down by a large margin.
Since he was safely in first place, and the person who was closest to them other than Seraphiel was Karina at almost a third of his points, he wasn't worried at all.
If Sera overtook him, who cares?
But Karina? No, definitely not allowed.
..
Meanwhile, about 2 or 3 miles away from where Calux was, you could see a beautiful woman walking calmly through the forrest, while constructs cleared the way if any beast got close.
While all of this was happening, someone appeared from one of the tree lines.
"Princess."
Seraphiel said with a bland tone.
Karina looked at the constructs that had just killed two D rank beasts as if they were nothing, and then at Seraphiel.
There wasn't a hint of sweat, blood, or blemish on her as of this moment, but she was ahead of Karina by a large margin.
"Is that your power, quite a cheat for this kind of test isn't it?"
Karina asked mockingly, but in truth she was jealous, a power like this was extremely convenient, in fact she had never read or heard about anything like this before either.
"Well, why get my hands dirty when my constructs can kill for me? At first I needed to confirm, but since they are created from my mana they count as my kills, so why wouldn't I?"
She said with a smile, but Karina knew it held a mocking tone as well.
Before Karina could say anything else....
"It was nice talking to you Princess, but as you can see in the scores my Calux is far ahead of us, and I want to catch up, if I beat him I'll have another way to tease him!"
She said excitingly and with a beaming smile that annoyed Karina.
"He is not 'Your' Calux, he is Calux, stop talking about him like he is yours."
Seraphiel had her back turned to Karina and didn't even bother turning to look at her.
"Princess, from the moment he accepted my feelings he was already mine, and I his. No one will take me away from him unless he himself tells me he doesn't want me."
With that, she left Karina with her fists so hard pressed that her knuckles went white.
"I swear I'll take him from you like you took him from me, and after that I'll enjoy seeing your despair."
She mumbled while walking in another direction, she wanted to attack this woman, but if Calux found out it would definitely not be good for her, therefore she needed to be strategic.
Don't worry, I'll remove you soon enough.
