An hour later at the academy, the professors and principal of the academy were looking at the top twenty scorers with awe.
Well, to say it was the top twenty would be a mistake, although a screen showing twenty student names and points were shown, they were completely in awe of the top two students.

The exam was about to finish in a few minutes, and both top two had surpassed the original top score for the entry exam.
The previous high score was 201 points, and it was held by none other than Celine, Calux's mother.
[A/N: As you all know, Athrax Voidbane is not a native from this planet, therefore he didn't study at the academy or anything.]
"It's very impressive to have two students top the previous high score, even more so, that fact that these two both awakened two and a half months ago.."
These words were spoken by Luna Crix, the Principal of the academy.
While saying these words, she was looking at the detailed information of both Calux and Seraphiel, where she could see the potential of both of them, when they awakened, and the actual beasts they had slain in this exam per rank of the beast.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes wide.
"Calux just killed a B rank elite beast..."
The whole room went dead silent at her words since not even she could believe such a feat.
It was important to note, that some of the instructors and professors were at the B rank and they would definitely struggle with a B rank elite beast because it is not only formidable but also incredibly intelligent.
Everyone in the room went wild talking about how it was impossible, and if it were real they wanted to be his mentor.
But all these voices were just mumbled voices in Luna's head.
This kid is impressive, I guess I'll need to see how impressive he is in person...

A few minutes earlier...
"Man this is so boring! There's barely any strong beasts around, I'd have to make do with E and D rank beasts and there haven't even been many!"
Calux yelled in frustration.
Although absolutely no one would catch up to him, considering only a few minutes remained for the test, he wanted to kill a B rank beast before leaving, but even after using his spatial awareness for so long to get to monster locations, he was yet to find a B rank one.
Suddenly, Calux looked to a cave that seemed to have a beast sleeping alone, usually stronger beasts were loners, therefore Calux assumed this beast should at least be C rank right?
Well to his surprise, after going into the cave he saw a massive twenty meter snake with purple scales and green eyes curled up looking directly at him who was coming from the entrance.
A female voice suddenly rang through the cave.
"Oh... Food has been delivered for my doorstep. I'm glad I don't have to go hunt today."
It was arrogant and mocking, this beast had definitely eaten humans before.
Calux decided to scan, but he had a suspicion that this beast was definitely a B rank.

"Hm.. I don't think you'll be eating anything from now on."
Void Edge suddenly materialized on Calux's hands and he got into a battle ready sword stance.
"Humans, humans, humans... Always so eager, thinking they are above the food chain, but they forget they can be pray sometimes as well..."
Like a thunderbolt the beast disappeared in a flash, and appeared in front of him with her mouth wide open as if to swallow him whole.
Although the beast was extremely fast and stronger than Calux in terms of ranks, his experience with the sword thanks to his talent helped him maintain calmness through the battle, allowing him to think with his sword and not his mind.
Side stepping a few feet to his right, he decided to void slash quickly and try to hurt the beast through its mouth, as it would certainly anger it and make it commit mistakes while the fight ensued.
Just as expected, he was able to dodge and leave a big gash on the side of the snake for around four feet, since Calux used the momentum of the moving beast to slash through it like butter.
This was of course possible because of two things, first of all Void Edge is a B rank equipment that has perfect compatibility with the void element, and the void, well it literally annihilates and destroys matter, therefore it was easy for him to leave a gash on the beast.
ROARRRRR!!
"HUMAN! HOW DARE YOU!"
The angry voice rang through the cave.
"Hm... Well you were about to eat me, was it not polite to respond in kind?"
"Anyways, I don't have much time, so we'll have to hurry this up okay?"
BOOM!
Suddenly Calux appeared in front of the snake and tried to void slash once again but the beast also flashed away with the same thunder movement it used earlier.
"It seems you rely a lot on that movement technique to kill your prey huh... Too bad I have one as well.."
Calux started to prepare in his right hand his newest skill..
Void Explosion...
Since he wanted to end this as quickly as possible Calux decided to add in fifty percent of his mana into the sphere in his left hand, while Void Edge rested on his right.
The beast could instinctively feel fear from the aura emanating from the sphere in his hands.
"Human, if you launch that we will both die! This cave wont hold!"
This beast is very cunning, I'm surprised it is trying to use scare tactics on me...
Calux void stepped in front of the beast and instantly the beast had warning alarms all over its body.
Before it even tried to flash step in another direction, Calux launched void explosion colliding with the floor right below the beast.
BOOM!
"NOO!"
The beast suddenly felt numb all over its body for three seconds not being able to move because the void matter was stuck to its skin, only feeling its head before it finally closed its eyes in death.
"Few... I almost deleted the whole body out of existence... If added a bit more mana I'd probably lost the mana core and the evidence of me slaying this beast!"
He quickly put the head in his inventory just like the rest of the beasts, and got ready to leave.
Father that attack does something very similar to what my breath does, you can't use it on humans lest you want to actually kill them.
I'm certain that if this beast couldn't hold on, it being a rank above you and an elite at that, a B rank human will be deleted out of existence in a few milliseconds after getting into contact with the explosion.
"Yeah... I wanted to test it with half my mana but I guess I really went overboard... Oh well, good thing I tested it on a B rank beast, now we know where my power stands for now!"
A few seconds later he felt the artifact given by the school activate a small teleportation circle that sucked him in, next he knew he was standing in front of a huge crowd of people once again.
