Chapter 42 - S Class (1/2)

The next day, after eating breakfast and putting on their uniforms, they decided to go to the academy early and get a bit familiarized with their surroundings.

Each of the classes happened in different rooms, and the academy was extremely big considering how many training areas it had, therefore it was of outmost importance to them to be acquainted with all the facilities they could use to improve.

Arriving at the academy, not many awakeners were here an hour before class, but those who were are not from the first year thats for sure.

Walking through the halls they passed through a room that was as big as a football field and had multiple rooms with a tap to scan with their student id, these were gravity rooms.

They walked inside to check since although Calux had the Void Palace, he wanted to see how big a difference there might be in terms of gravity in these rooms.

They reached reception where a young blonde man received them.

"Oh... First years so early? I like your enthusiasm."

"We wanted to check out the facilities available to us and saw these training rooms. What are the prices for the rooms?"

The man nodded approvingly.

"Well, rooms with increased gravity between 2-3x cost 5 credits per hour, and the gravity rooms that offer up to 5x cost 10 credits per hour to operate. Of course, anyone below the A rank shouldn't train their body at the 5x else they get seriously injured."

Calux nodded, he had first hand experience on his Void Palace, if not for the spirit, truthfully with his rank he wouldn't have been able to move at all.

But hell these were expensive, although they would definitely help improve reaction speed and the body somewhat, the cost was expensive, this goes to show how important credits are to not be misused.

"That sounds good, thank you for the information sir, we'll be going now."

..

"Sera, those rooms will provide you with good feedback for reaction time and speed, you'll definitely improve your close combat quarters if you're able to dodge and predict easily, and gravity training will help with that. As for the body, you can just use cores, although it is considered 'wasting money' by the masses, it's not a problem for us."

Sera felt warmth surge in her heart, every single word he had spoken was a testament to the fact that he was thinking about her improvement all this time.

"I will follow your words Cal."

Hand in hand they continued walking through the halls where they saw then weapons, forging, runes/array, and alchemy rooms, and to say they were impressed would be an understatement.

The quality this academy provided the students alone was an undeniable pro for the institution, but having all of these facilities and at such a high level at that, just went to show how powerful the royal academy was.

Arriving at class ten minutes earlier, a few students were already there and everyone looked towards the door where they were.

Calux and Seraphiel shined like a bright light in a dark room.

They were good looking and extremely strong, on top of that they were always together, therefore when they walked in hand in hand, every student there couldn't help but look towards them, Max and Karina included.

Calux and Seraphiel ignored the looks and whispers and quietly sat down on a table, and waited for the instructor to arrive.

It was important to note, that in this classroom, there were no single desks but tables for two or three people to seat at, it was extremely weird, but perhaps since it was a mana theory class they encouraged groups instead of loners.

While Calux and Seraphiel spoke, a figure quickly approached them and before Calux or Seraphiel could speak, she pushed Calux to the side with her hip and sat down on his right side, while Seraphiel was on the left.

This baffled not only the class, but the two sitting at the table most of all.

"Um.. Princess, why are you sitting in our table?"

Calux asked incredulously.

"These tables are public and are set for two or three people, as you know they encourage sitting in groups in this class so that we can exchange pointers, knowledge, and questions while in the class. I just decided to seat with the top two in our class, is that so wrong?"

Karina said in the most nonchalant voice she could muster.

Seraphiel was bewildered by this situation..

How does this woman not give up? Ugh.

Calux on the other hand just sighed, he really didn't want the trouble this woman brought with her.

He looked back and sure enough, Max was looking at their table with eyes filled with hatred.

"Your fiancé over there doesn't seem to happy you left his table."

Seraphiel said mockingly, of course not taking anything Karina sent their way.

As soon as those words were spoken, you could see the disgust in Karina's face.

"He is not my fiancé, that is what he would like, and what his father would like, but absolutely nothing was agreed upon yet, and I will not agree either, you can rest assured."

Calux was already getting a headache and for the first time in a while almost lost his composure.

"We don't really care Karina. If you seat here, please don't cause trouble okay?"

Seraphiel was stunned for a moment and then went smug, Calux didn't give a crap about Karina's situation and had made it clear in front of the class.

Karina on the other hand although she felt a pang of sadness in her heart, swallowed it and believed in herself.

You'll soften up with time, I promise I'll make you understand my feelings are true!

After a few minutes, the rest of the students finally filled the room and the professor came in.

A woman that looked to be in her early thirties, pink hair, golden colored eyes, and dressed in a grey dress came into the class and wrote her name in the board.

Amara Blaze, A-Rank fire mage.

"Good morning class, as seen in the board my name is Amara, and I'm a fire mage, today is our first class therefore I'd like for everyone to introduce yourselves."
