"yo first place..."
The boy sat on the podium, staring down at Ed approaching him. There was neither hate or resentment on his face,nor did he seem fond of him
His face was bland as he waited for Ed to respond.
"Um..."
"First place kun..."
Huh?
"The name's Ed...how may I help you"
The boy looked at him for a second before smiling.
"Raise your sword and prepare to block."
Huh?!—
Ed tried to process his thoughts when a blade completing it's arc swung down on him with killing intent. Raising his skyblade,he barely blocks while destroying the building they were in. A unique situation in the school is one were fighting was allowed as far as people weren't killed in it.
By the time Ed escaped from the rubbles, the boy was standing outside with a crowd of students behind him. They thought a fight had broken out and rushed only to see the first place showing off his strength,is what they thought.
Ed stood with his body soiled as he stared at the boy standing in front of him.
"Who are you?"
"Someone who would help you stop the end. As we know, the truth of the link that is being kept from the public is one of the reasons why the world Peace hasn't been broken...if it gets out, there would be a crack in our already weak peace stand"
"But... that wasn't what I asked"

The entrance ceremony was shifted to another of the many halls in the academy. The entrance ceremony began with the introduction of the director of the school followed by the other executives.
Later, the student council president came forward to speak. Her entrance filled the hall with pressure, one suitable for her title. While she spoke, they crowd listened attentively and focused on her, like watching a top actor perform
When she finished, the crowd applauded and she walked back to her seat. After that, the committee called the first place from the mage department and the martial arts department to give their speech.
Stepping forward first was the mages department,with their first place being a short girl, with an onyx black hair and sea blue eyes. Her dress was casual, not one that resonated with nobility. Nevertheless, she was ranked third in the whole school ahead of even the student council president who is 4th place
In the school there's a rankings based on the school year, department and overall in the school. Being ranked 3rd in the whole school meant she is strong enough to solo an A rank dungeon by herself.
After climbing the podium, she stood in front of the mic stand, being to short to reach. A student brings it down for her and walks back. Taking the mic, she opens up to speak
"Um... I— I don't know what to say to you guys now, I'm not a noble like the rest of you so my presence might be a little hurtful. Nevertheless, I'll try my best to get along with you guys"
The crowd remained silent as she stepped down from the podium. Her body didn't emit any aura to be mindful of so people didn't think much of her. Ed sat on his seat preparing what he's to say to the crowd. Just then,a system notification popped up
Say the following words to the crowd.>
No?!...no way I'm saying that
Based on your level of performance>
Ed rises to his feet before he's called forth. The crowd turns their attention to him as he approaches the podium
Damn you system...damn you!!!
Ed climbed the podium and took the mic, while taking a glance at the crowd in front of him. He places the mic to his lips and speaks up
"I have only one thing to say, so I'll say it loud and clear, I'll be taking the first place in this school,and I'll do it before I graduate—"
The crowd raises an uproar in the hall, stunned by Ed's speech. Sally sitting by a corner turned, trying to hold her laugh in. After all,he wasn't in support of coming to the school at first
Ed drops the mic and walks back to his seat, while a screen notifies him
Yes!!!, It was worth it
The guy Ed met earlier that day smirked while sitting at the back and turned to leave the hall. The top student in the mage department slept on her table, ignoring the rest of the ceremony.
The rest of the ceremony concluded without a hitch and Ed walked back to his dorms. They had announced a party that would go on later that night, to give them a chance to get to know each other. Since majority of the students are nobles, the party would be exquisite
Normally, the students are mixed in class until time for training where they would split into either the mages or the martial arts department. Ed got to his room and laid on his bed. Melissa wasn't around for the meantime so it was pretty much silent. After about a minute,he hears a knock on his door
"Hello..."
Ed opens the door and sees the top girl of the mage department in front of him.
"Um..."
"Bell...my name's bellitch Alex. You can call me either bell or Alex"
"Um, so..."
"I just dropped to say hi..."
"Oh, okay my name's—"
"Edward .d. Angelo...a human that is not human"
"What?!"
Who is she, how did she —
"Don't mind me, just take me as a passer by,we probably won't meet again till you challenge me for top position"
Saying that, she turns and leaves, before going, she drops a final message
"Oh, and by the way,no one else calls me bell or Alex"
Ed stood watching her as she disappeared through the horizons. Just then, the student council announced something through the school platform
