Ed stared blankly at the captain in front of him. Like an old version computer,his brain tried to process the information he heard.
What?... the person that turned my life to a living hell,is dead?, that isn't possible
"Sir, there's more..."
The captain leans in closer to whisper it.
"The undertakers has returned."
Those words sent shivers down Ed's spine as he sat speechless on the bench. The group called undertakers were so powerful that even Ed's evil father feared them. According to rumors, the emperor was once part of those mysterious group who claimed to be gods of the virtual world
While Ed sat there,a young girl selling giving out newspapers rushed to his side and handed him one. Flipping through it, the news of the release date for the new Dawn was announced, exactly six months from today.
Ed had a lot of questions to ask but kept them in mind. Where did his father disappear to,why is the game still in production,why the undertakers come back, where did they get information about the children of stone —or was there something more to the link than he expected
Ed walked back to the party where Alex sat silently munching her food. When he saw her,he turned and left the party,while heading to his dorms.
Melissa came back an hour later with news. From the look on her face,it wasn't good news.
"Young master, the CEO of glavius is missing along with every member of her family."
Ed walked to his room and removed his dress. By now,it was no longer new news to him so he focused on finding a clue to the link. Suddenly, the pain on his chest shot up, and he lost his balance and fell. While writing in pain,a system screen popped up
"I know, damnit"
There's still this silver fang quest...
Ed managed to calm down and laid on the bed before exhaling deeply. While he rested, Melissa came in.
"Young master..."
Ed looks at her and notices her worried face. He smiles at her to calm down.
" I'm alright... just some cramps"
"I see..."
Tomorrow... the test will begin. Oh well

The next day, Ed dressed up in the white coats given to them by the school wearing a black turtleneck inside. Since guards aren't allowed in school,ed went to school alone while carrying his resolve collection blades with him.
The atmosphere of the school was thrilling,with each year on a different floor. The sizes of the classes are as big as malls,with facilities that make everyone feel comfortable during their studies.
Since fighting was one thing accepted in the school,it was normal to see people with weapons around the school to protect one's self. Training grounds are provided for duel which are open at anytime.
Ed entered the first floor, where the first years classes were located and checked the building. Walking from class to class,he familiarized himself with the building before walking to his class where peculiar people were waiting.
"Oh... honey"
"What?...oh hey there girl"
Ed walked into his class without trying to attract attention. As usual, nobody in his class cared if he wanted attention or not, especially the boy and girl sitting at the back. Amongst the crowd of students,their presence were felt eminently in the class hall.
As ed approached his seat,he realized that the chair he was sitting on was his so he walked over to his direction.
"..."
"Huh?"
The girl first reacted, turning to Ed's side as he stood above them beside his seat
"Hey... I don't like your gaze"
Ed glanced over to her side before sighing. Seconds later,a small aura blade moved, before stopping inches from his neck. Despite that, Ed didn't flinch, and stood right at the exact spot he stopped at without taking a step back
"Didn't you hear her, move back..."
"...oh well"
"I won't miss again"
Ed takes a step back then raises his feet up slightly, just so they would notice
What is he trying to—
The boy swiftly dodges as Ed stamped his leg on the ground, raising the chair to the air entirely. While holding the girl,he lands on the table while smiling
"Oh... I guess you're not weak huh... We'll be meeting soon"
He turns to go when Ed stops him from behind. Turning back, the boy prepares to counter any attack
"Here... your stuff"
The boy realized ed was giving him the things he left on the table that might be his. Scoffing,he collects it and walks away with a grin on his face
"What are you smirking for?"
"..."
"Awww honey"
The girl climbs his back while he piggy backs her out of the class. Minutes later,they come back in separately, with the boy coming out after the girl.
Ed sits on his seat while trying to hide his face. Since confronting those mysterious couples, his classmates has been stealing glances at him for a while. Later,he raises his head as the homeroom teacher entered the hall
Ed sat up immediately after sensing the man's presence. Entering the class, silence fell instantly as everyone could feel the pressure from his aura. But since unlike others,ed sensed him from outside,he took a quick look at Ed while making sure he realized it.
"You..."
"Sir!"
Ed rose to his feet
"What's your name"
"Ed .d. angelo..."
"I'll recommend you for the subjugation, you don't need to take the test."
Hearing this came as shocking news to the crowd. Since no one knew what happened, they thought of it as the man being partial but kept it in mind. Ed on the other hand refused outrightly
"No sir, but thank you very much for your recommendation."
"..."
I see.
"My name is Henry geomma and I'll be your teacher for this year. "
Everyone quietly listened to his next words
"As for the first test..."
