For the next ten minutes while he explained the test to select people who would go to obtain the children of stone artifact, the class followed attentively, listening to every word he said.
Ed equally listened,as the children of stone is an artifact he must obtain to stop the plan to disrupt peace in this world
"For the test to determine those who would participate in the forthcoming subjugation of the children of stone,it will take place in three days, today and the two days at the end of the week. After this announcement is made, the first years and the second years will gather outside to take the trial. As for the details of the test,I won't be revealing those"

A girl with slim eyes and brunette bob cut raises a question.
"Is it compulsory to take the test?"
"No... the school won't force you to take something you're not confident in. After all, the artifact is of high importance"
Several students asked questions after her and their teacher all gave them good answers before turning back to the class. In the meantime, Ed thought of a way to steal the artifact without anyone from either the school or his father's side from knowing.
"Now, we'll head to the gym, the student council vice president will brief you guys on the test"
After heading to the gym,they lined up, waiting for the student council to arrive. Minutes later,they arrived, accompanied by the guild officer from the magic tower.
As they were about to begin, Ed's ring reacted, prompting a notification from the system.

The ring disappears into the atmosphere, leaving Ed's hand for the first time since ed met zero. Meanwhile, the eyes of the student council president has been on him since her arrival, taking notes of his movements and ways he would use to pass the test

It was a name that brought unpleasant past memories to her mind, although she was sure about not meeting him before he enrolled in the school.. nevertheless, she focused on gaining whatever information she can on him.
The first exercise began shortly after which was to test their endurance as they were about to begin,a young boy with slim eyes and hair that showed that he had just gotten up from bed rushed in, while exhaling deeply.
From the look on his face,he was running for a while before getting to the gym. Although advised to quit,he insisted on taking the test
As he stood behind the lines,he noticed Ed and walked up to him
"Hey there...my name's lemon steel, and I couldn't help but notice the aura you're emitting. What's your name?"
He's a nonchalant type I guess...
"Ed"
"Oh... So you're ed.d. Angelo huh...nice to meet you"
"Same here... So lemon, what's your ability"

Ed faces the vice president standing on the podium while turning his attention from lemon beside him

The first test began with them having to run round the school premises none stop. It was to test their endurance when the time comes for them to flee from the dungeon. That was the only test that would be taking place today, since the school is as large as the biggest city in the world, it would be perfect training for them
While the exercise started, Ed walked to his dorms to inform Sally and Melissa about the test. Since it was to start in five minutes,he figured using it to his advantage
Minutes later the test began and ed smiled as he made his way to the starting line. Since his only s rank stat was in speed,it was a time to show of to the others in the school concerning his bluff at the entrance ceremony.
However,a thought bugged his mind. Since after the entrance ceremony,he hasn't seen or taking note of any movements from the student with glasses,even taking his time to search the students on the starting line .
Thanks to the high magic engineering tools, the staffs of the school and the student council were able to view the race in full swing without stepping out to the test grounds.
Shortly after, the test began and Ed who prepared to run was suddenly stopped, halting him momentum. After the students rushed forward,he turned to the person and noticed Paul, the brother of bellitch Alex who confronted him in the party.
"What now..."
"Let's race,the first to cross the finish line—"
"Sure, do you thing"
Ed runs off, leaving him to eat his words. Paul smiled before joining him in the race.
Heh... unluckily for him,my a rank stat is speed, there's no way he'll catch up to—
"W-wait... slow down"
Paul struggled to reach Ed despite starting few seconds late. His was already getting plain from exhausting his energy too much. Ed on the other hand hadn't even broken a sweat from the race
The staffs and senior students watched while the race went on, looking to scout future partners or talents they can use. In the third year class where everyone was focused on the race,a group of two boys and girls sat quietly in the class, not bothering to check the test. From the looks of it, the one sleeping amongst them seemed to be the leader because of a strange aura around him. Nevertheless all the students in the class didn't dare to approach those groups while a student walked in
"Um... I'm looking for someone from this class"
"Huh..."
All the students turned, excluding those four unique students
"Huh,who are you?"
The boy raised his head, revealing the boy with glasses Ed met at the ceremony
