Screen 1 Final Battle Rewrite (Canon Style)
Inside the Tower of Justice, the final battle reached its peak.
Monkey D. Luffy and Dark Sonic stood together against Rob Lucci, the strongest assassin of CP9.
Lucci attacked first in his leopard form, combining brutal strength with precise Rokushiki techniques. His speed was overwhelming, forcing both fighters on the defensive.
Luffy immediately activated Second Gear, steam rising from his body as his speed and power surged. He rushed Lucci with rapid Jet attacks, matching the assassin's movement blow for blow.
At the same time, Dark Sonic moved from Lucci's blind side, attacking with aggressive dashes, sharp kicks, and spinning strikes that forced Lucci to split his focus.
Even with both of them pressing him, Lucci's efficiency was terrifying. He countered with Shigan, Soru, and devastating claw strikes, leaving both Luffy and Dark Sonic badly injured.
As the battle dragged on, Luffy pushed further and activated Third Gear, enlarging his arm for a massive strike that shook the tower. Dark Sonic followed up immediately with a dark-aura Spin Dash, slamming Lucci backward through the debris.
Still, Lucci kept fighting.
Both Luffy and Dark Sonic were exhausted, bruised, and barely standing.
Then Luffy looked toward the bridge where Nico Robin was being protected by the crew.
That sight reignited his resolve.
With his final strength, Luffy launched forward in Second Gear once more and unleashed his ultimate attack:
Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling
A storm of punches crashed into Lucci from the front.
At the same moment, Dark Sonic rushed in from behind and struck with one final spinning kick, preventing Lucci from escaping the barrage.
The combined assault finally overwhelmed Lucci, sending him crashing down in defeat.
With Lucci defeated, the Marines' control over Enies Lobby began to collapse, and the tide of the battle finally turned in the Straw Hats' favor.

After Monkey D. Luffy and Dark Sonic finally defeated Rob Lucci, the Straw Hats successfully rescued Nico Robin and regrouped on the bridge.
But there was no time to celebrate.
The World Government had already launched a full Buster Call, and a massive fleet of warships surrounded Enies Lobby from every side.
As the cannon fire closed in, the dark electric aura around Sonic began to weaken.
The intense rage that had fueled him through the battle started to fade.
Instead of fully returning to normal, he shifted into a semi-dark state, with only a faint shadowy aura remaining, about 50% of Dark Sonic's power still active.
His eyes were no longer fully dark, but the cold focus was still there.
Then, through the smoke and flames, the crew saw something unbelievable.
The Going Merry had mysteriously arrived at the shore to save them.
Even Sonic, still half-shrouded in dark energy, stopped in shock.
"…Merry?" he said quietly.
For the first time since the fight began, the remaining darkness around him flickered with emotion instead of anger.

After escaping the destruction of Enies Lobby, the crew finally realized the truth.
The Going Merry had reached its absolute limit.
The ship that had carried them across so many seas was beginning to fall apart, its wood cracked and broken beyond repair.
As the crew prepared a farewell funeral for their beloved ship, the atmosphere turned heavy with grief and gratitude.
Sonic, still in his semi-dark state, stood quietly near the front of the ship. The faint dark aura around him had become calm, no longer fueled by rage.
For once, there was no coldness in his expression, only full respect.
He gently placed a hand on the worn wood and said softly,
"You carried all of us farther than anyone thought possible."
The crew stood together as the ship was given its final farewell, honoring not just a vessel, but the spirit and memories that had lived with them through every journey.
Even the remaining darkness around Sonic seemed to fade in that moment, replaced by silent respect for the Merry.

Back in Water 7, the Straw Hats and their allies were welcomed with a much bigger celebration after the successful rescue of Nico Robin.
The city was full of cheers, food, and laughter as everyone celebrated the crew's return and victory.
By this point, Sonic's semi-dark form had completely faded, and he was fully back to normal.
The dark aura was gone, his eyes back to usual, and the coldness had disappeared.
Now acting like himself again, Sonic sat among the crew casually eating hotdogs while the celebration continued around them.
He looked over at Robin for a moment and gave a small smile.
"Glad you're back."

Just as the celebration in Water 7 was in full swing, a powerful presence suddenly arrived.
Like in canon, Monkey D. Garp, the legendary Vice Admiral, stormed in without warning and punched Monkey D. Luffy on the head.
Luffy immediately shouted,
"Grandpa?!"
Sonic froze mid-bite with his hotdog still in hand.
He stared for a second, then looked between Garp and Luffy in complete disbelief.
"…Wait."
He pointed slightly and said,
"Your grandpa just punched you through the floor and that's your normal reaction?"
Then Sonic looked more carefully at Garp's Marine coat and powerful presence.
"So the crazy strength runs in the family."

As Monkey D. Garp arrived in Water 7, two familiar young Marines stepped forward with him. One of them was Koby.
Sonic noticed him standing beside Garp and walked over with a curious look.
Koby looked a bit surprised to see Sonic traveling with the Straw Hats.
Sonic gave a small nod and said,
"So you're with the Marines now, huh?"
Koby answered with determination,
"Yes. I'm training under Vice Admiral Garp. I want to become a strong Marine."
Sonic looked him up and down, then gave a slight smile.
"You've changed a lot."
Koby smiled back, clearly happy to be recognized.

Sonic stared at it for a moment, taking in the size, the shape, and the upgrades compared to the Going Merry.
Then a small grin appeared on his face.
"Okay… now this is a ship."
He walked closer, looked at the lion face on the front, and added,
"Fast, strong, and built to keep going. I like it."
Even with the excitement, there was still a little quiet respect in his expression for the Merry.
But seeing the Sunny, Sonic clearly understood this was the start of the crew's new ship

As the Straw Hats prepared for their next journey toward Fish-Man Island, new bounty posters arrived in Water 7.
One of them was Sonic's.
He unfolded it and read:
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
120,000,000 BERRIES
DEAD OR ALIVE
Government note:
"Extreme speed threat. Assisted assault on Enies Lobby. Highly dangerous."
Sonic looked at the poster for a second, then gave a small grin.
"Guess they finally noticed."
Meanwhile, the crew worked together with Franky and Iceburg to build a brand-new ship that could carry them farther than ever before.
By the end of the celebration, Franky officially joined the Straw Hat Pirates as their shipwright.
Just as the new ship was ready and the crew prepared to leave the island, Monkey D. Garp arrived to pursue them, forcing the crew into a fast escape from Water 7.
