Chapter 7 - THIS TIME AROUND

CHAPTER 7: THE BIG CHALLENGE

The next day, Amara went to school feeling very excited. She could not stop thinking about what the principal had told her. She had been chosen for another Mathematics Challenge, and this time, students from different schools would be participating.

When she got to her classroom, her teacher called her.

"Amara, come here," she said.

"Yes, ma," Amara replied.

"Since you have been chosen for the Mathematics Challenge, we need to start preparing immediately."

Amara smiled. "Okay, ma. I'm ready."

Her teacher gave her some Mathematics questions to solve. Amara looked at them and began working.

The questions were much harder than the ones she had practised before.

She tried the first one, but she got the answer wrong.

She tried again, but she still could not get it.

Amara became frustrated.

"Ma, I don't understand this question," she said.

Her teacher came closer and explained it to her.

"Oh, I understand now!" Amara said happily.

She tried the question again and got the correct answer.

Her teacher smiled.

"Very good, Amara. You see? You just need to stay calm and keep trying."

Amara nodded.

From that day, she started preparing seriously for the competition. She practised Mathematics every day after school. Whenever she did not understand something, she asked her teacher for help.

At home, her mother also encouraged her.

"Amara, don't be afraid of difficult questions," her mother said. "You have worked hard before, and you can do it again."

Amara smiled.

"I will not give up, Mummy."

As the days passed, Amara became better and more confident.

She knew the competition would not be easy, but she was ready to face it.

She remembered how she had once been afraid of Mathematics.

Now, she was preparing to compete against students from different schools.

Amara looked at her Mathematics book and smiled.

"This time around, I will give it my best."

Author's thought: Amara was learning that success did not come from being perfect. It came from practising, learning from mistakes, and refusing to give up.

And with the competition getting closer, Amara knew that the real challenge was just beginning. 🌟
