Chapter 12 - THIS TME AROUND

CHAPTER 12: THE UNEXPECTED CHALLENGE

The next morning, Amara arrived at the academic programme feeling excited.

She had enjoyed the previous day and was looking forward to learning something new.

When she entered the classroom, she noticed that everyone seemed unusually quiet.

Her teacher stood at the front of the room with a serious expression.

"Good morning, students."

"Good morning, ma," everyone replied.

"Today, we are going to have a special challenge," the teacher announced.

The students became excited.

"What kind of challenge is it?" one of them asked.

The teacher smiled.

"You will be divided into groups. Each group will be given a difficult problem to solve. You will have to work together and present your answer to everyone."

Amara looked at her group members.

She was ready to begin.

The teacher handed them the question.

Amara read it carefully.

"This is difficult," Daniel said.

"I think we should take it step by step," Amara replied.

They started working together.

At first, everything went well. Then they reached a part of the question that confused everyone.

Nobody knew what to do next.

Amara looked at the question again.

She thought about giving up, but then she remembered all the times she had struggled with Mathematics and kept trying.

"Let's not give up," she said. "There must be a way to solve it."

The group agreed.

They tried different methods until Amara suddenly noticed something.

"Wait! I think I know what we should do."

She explained her idea to the group.

Daniel looked at the work and smiled.

"That makes sense!"

They continued working and finally found the answer.

When it was time to present, Amara stood in front of the class with her group.

She explained how they had solved the problem.

When they finished, everyone clapped.

The teacher smiled proudly.

"Well done! You did not give up when the problem became difficult."

Amara smiled.

She was happy, but she was even happier because her whole group had worked together.

After the activity, Daniel came to her.

"Amara, thank you for encouraging us not to give up."

"You're welcome," Amara replied. "We all helped each other."

That afternoon, Amara went home thinking about what had happened.

She realised that sometimes, the biggest challenge was not the question itself.

It was the decision to keep trying when things became difficult.

Author's thought: Amara was learning that challenges could teach us important lessons. She did not succeed because everything was easy. She succeeded because she stayed patient and encouraged others to keep going.

As Amara continued her journey, she began to wonder what other challenges were waiting for her.
