Third Person
The royal guards lined the entrance as if guarding wanted criminals. Rain glanced around before moving forward. The king watched from the court balcony, his fist clenched, and so did his seven alpha sons.
As they all assembled inside the courtroom with other nobles and ministers, only Kebel stood.
Rain saw him, and he gave a little wave, then smiled. Rain couldn't hold back his smile; his eyes beamed, and his hands waved back.
"Come up... bring me the new bride." Kebel's voice was so loud that those close had to glance around to make sure it wasn't coming from nearby.
Rain chuckled. "You're crazy," he said.
Kebel gave him the I-know look, then muttered, "Hurry up, the bridal chamber is ready."
Caelan watched them despite his weak state. He could tell their relationship wasn't that simple.
