Kate and I quickly wrapped up our tasks at the armory and grabbed the ration bags issued for the expedition. Following the list of instructions we've got and one by one checking it out, we soon finished our personal preparations, and gathered promptly in front of the shelter gate along with others.
Kate and I arrived just minutes after Roland and Lukas, who were already loading supplies. Johann and the new recruits appeared shortly after, their faces a mixture of excitement and nervous anticipation.
Lukas and Roland efficiently loaded our trip's necessities into the trunk, carrying bags filled with water and food rations. Johann mirrored their actions with the rookies' gear, carefully stowing everything at the trunk of their own vehicle for the journey ahead.
