In the last couple of weeks Erwin's operation went as good as he expected as he learned more of how the place functioned. Slowly Erwin manage the activities and leaned hands on by looking at each group data and listened to Darby, Lucas and Rodulf on their reports on how each group operated.
Erwin promised that what has happened in Karl would not happen here to him, he continued like that for awhile until he got a good grasp on the situation then by control he release Blue ice into the streets, then waited for the public's response to the product.
In a secured area by the corner of a block Tommy Rio was dispensing his goods to the common people who wanted his goods, At the age of forty nine he has been forced to work the streets of Barrio's end as there was not enough good jobs around. Many people have turned to crime to sustain their lively hood and when he heard that someone was recruiting people he reluctantly went, the job was always the same when people recruited. It always had to do with substance, arms or any smuggle goods that has to be sold to the public discreetly.
Tommy didn't have any aspirations anymore and just tried to focus on his new job, the job was simple and he actually got paid decently in the last couple of days but the public whose poor can only afford so much. As he was thinking a young child walked up to him , it was always a different child that did deliveries to him.
Taking the package from the child as the child ran off , he opened the package and with a confused look he looked at the product but this time there was something different. The product was not Blue ice, it looked like it but there was a some small difference like there were many white spots on it. Tommy has been doing this for a long time therefore he noticed the slight difference in the product he was given.
Looking at the package twice over he saw a note on the back of the package " Distant stars", That was the name of the product he though. Separating the small baggies he distributed it throughout his hiding place then went back onto his corner.
Inside a car a few stops from Tommy , Richard is driving with his girlfriend Ashley. They were looking for a good time and were driving for awhile , their dealer was out of goods so they decided to go for a drive and find a pusher.
"How much money do we have babe?" As Tommy looked around each corner hoping to find a pusher.
Ashle counted their cash in hand " About eighty Deni babe"
Tommy thought that should be enough to grab a small baggie and has he passed each alley he seemed disappointed until they turned a corner and saw a man.
"Jack pot " they both though
They slowly drove to the man and slowed down, flashing his lights. As the light flashed the man walked into the street and they stopped the car and put the window down.
"How much you need?"
"Eighty din of Blue ice"
"I got something new if you'd like" The man said keeping a straight face
"Better?"
"Don't know, new product called Distant Stars"
The man suddenly left and went to a corner then suddenly came back, taking out two small baggies he showed it to them.
The two looked inside the two baggies and they looked the same until the man showed it to them closer. One of the baggies looked like there were many tiny white spots on them, the two were about to say no because they didn't know what it was and could be laced with other substance that are harmful.
"Try it and I'll give you both for only eighty din"
The two looked at each other , then though why not they were getting a deal.
Soon the car left and Tommy went back to his spot, he was gambling because he just lost profit.
Anthony and Ashley soon arrived at their friends Jerri's house and settled down, taking out the two baggies. They put the Distant Stars to the side and opened the bag with Blue ice and began crushing it before making lines before snorting it.
The three laid down and let the drug takes it effect, soon the three are energize and elated the drug they got was good and seemed uncut. Throughout the night they did series of activities until they ran out of Blue ice and were forced to look at the alternative.
The three looked at the baggie with Distant Stars and began debating on a volunteer , Anthony ended the debate by taking the bag spreading it on the table. He then crushed it , the three looked at the crushed drug and between the blue and white it looked like there was stars around the table.
Crossing his fingers Anthony snorted it, as the drug entered his nostrils into his inner cavities he immediately felt a quick and sudden change like his body was whip-lashed into a definitive sudden high. His eyes contracted while his brain chemical started to change to incorporate more dopamine while his body shook with stimulation.
Anthony opened his eyes as his environment seem to light up.
"Damn..."
"So, is it decent?"
"Damn..."
The two looked at each other and created lines then took it, the two had the same reaction as the drug took them over too.
The three looked there in a daze for a minute before looking at each other , realizing effect of the drug seems supernatural. They have not had any experience like this before , they simultaneously though that it was extraordinarily incredible.
Tommy was about to clock out when he saw a car in the distant speeding or so he though. The car began flashing their lights. Tommy waited until the car came to a complete stop and walked to the driver window.
"What you need?"
"Two hundred din of Distant stars!"
The people in the car almost yelled with excitement as they seem to be unable to wait for it, Tommy nodded but told him that its only two baggies. The group though immediately agreed and went to his hiding place and then came back but as he was handing them the baggies they gave him the money as though as they were throwing it at him.
Tommy was surprised at their reactions as the car immediately drove away, he though nothing of it and went to meet up with his group then headed home after he was paid.
That night Erwin looked at the statistic of his sales and payments and it looked acceptable at the moment as he needed time to consolidate himself into the barrios foundation, he knows that in due time things will get better.
During the following weeks he released Distant stars on sporadic intervals, controlling the consumers and the demand of the product. After he saw a spike in the demand of Distant stars he slowly released Purple jelly the improve product of Black bean by Enig_C.
Erwin continued to release both products in sporadic alternating intervals, making sure the market is not flooded and in a low-key manner he then took control of Barrios end as they can only get these two products there. He also controlled the consumers in a way making sure the traffic to the consumers were neither over or under, sometimes he would release a week or a month news of the products arrival on a few selected loyal patrons.
For Sun maze , Erwin decide to hold on to it for a bit more until he expanded.
The days flew by and Tommy by this time is making bank, The product his boss was selling was very popular to the public. They would often come to see if he has any of the good stuff , most of the time he didn't but when he did they flew off the shelves in a mere hour.
Soon a relative understanding of the public for Erwin's drug became normalize, his drugs became a standard in that area and when that happened Erwin release Morning arrow the bi-product of sun Maze. Erwin let the drug creep into the market before that drug also became normalize with the consumers.
When sales increased because of Erwin's new product , he decided to expand his operations but only on a small scale. He planned to slowly advance his place step by step until he can make a real name for himself.
As Erwin's revenue increase, his payment to the military also increased. Erwin met a middle man from time to time g, giving the military their cut of the profits.
In the barracks Captain Elizabeth counted the money , it started small then slowly her cut grew. Captain Elizabeth asked Lieutenant Clarabel about it but she had no idea how he was managing to increase his sales. Captain Elizabeth looked at the reports of the exchange and her revenue from the exchanges between her and Erwin. She though it was interesting and maybe she should put somebody to watch over Erwin. She though about it then discarded the idea, as long as she and her people were getting paid she does not care.
After counting the money she called her sergeant into her office and handed him a stack of cash, she instructed the man to spread the cut to everyone.
After the initial increase in profits everything stabilize in Barrio's end, Erwin though of something and asked if Darby could go to one of the soldiers discreetly and asked them for a wider territory. Darby immediately left and met with a soldier and came back with good news.
Elizabeth got the news that Erwin was going to expand the scope of his operations, She agreed with the same conditions as before. Erwin was to pay for the expansion of his operations and territory they would provide whatever they agreed before , In the following weeks Erwin expanded his operations, The people he had was not enough so he called in Carter if he could do the same as before and spread the word about employment. At the same time that Carter was recruiting and spreading the word, Erwin became a small scale recruiting some clones.
Many more people arrived and he rotated the group operations, blending the old and new people that he have recruited, he mixed the group of the old people to teach the new people the ropes of operations and soon afterwards Erwin expanded his operation to the neighboring neighborhoods that he could in his scope at the moment.
Erwin slowly tasted success and got rid of the taste of bitterness in his mouth, His operationw as good but he though on how else he could expand rather than just dealing in this small maters he needed another outlet and not just substance. He needed to capitalize of what the country needs and what the country can provide. He put the idea behind him at he moment, he realize he controls two neighborhood now and net to network some more and not get ahead of himself. He was a master in the game but that only dealt on data , and this was not data it was real life in a different world. He needed to adapt on usage of the system to a more practical use, and change his mindset on life changing decision to a more precise tool for himself.
