Chapter 11 - The Cave

The treck up the river holding the dead boar was slow and steady, he came across regular deer that ran at the sight of him. Squirrels, and even slimes, though he didn't care to observe them as he had no desire to fight them, yet. His only desire was to secure a home to better prepare for his day.

An hour and thirty minutes after his departure from where he found, killed, and took the boars trait, he found it. A cave against a hillside, an opening wide enough to allow for him to take the boar inside with him, deep enough to allow for him to survive inside, and angled in a way where water wouldn't enter the cave if it rained.

Sitting in the cave he found a rock which he slowly sharpened into a knife like shape. When done 45 minutes later, he went over to the boar and cut at its stomach.

Organs began to spill to the floor, uncaring for them he began a patchy work of skinning the boar, with patches of meat here and there, but still not the worst out there, mainly patchy with meat due to shaky hands from inexperience.

Laying the skin on the flat ground Avra began cutting meat from the ribs of the boar, placing the meat on the skin. After he was done he took the remainder of the boar, which wasn't the heaviest he carried it 50 feet or so from the cave, and dropped it down a steep hill for it to roll to the bottom.

On the way back he grabbed sticks, and some flat rectangular rocks to build a platform, allowing for him to place the meat on the top side of the rock.

Back in the cave, Avra got to work to making a fire and building a platform from rocks to make a cooking platform towards the entrance so the smoke drifted out. Setting to work he got the fire started and fed dried twigs the fire and started cooking the boar meat with it.

While watching the meat cook his eyes drifted to the fire and he became almost entranced with it, until he smelled the fully cooked boar meat, which he then picked up with his bare hands(Bronze Skin allows his body to withstand that kind of heat) and ate, placing the next piece on the fire, continuing the process until he was full.

Then night came.
