This stick would be integral for what was happening next. With him in position, he readied his throwing stance and subconsciously channeled mana into his right arm. On the point of release the spear sped up exponentially, creating a small boom before the deer reacted an shifting.
When the deer shifted slightly the spear missed its intended target of the side, embedding itself deep into the back left leg of the deer. The pain caused the deer to fall, getting up, it was unable to place weight on its leg, blood flowing from the leg like water leaking from a punctured water bottle.
It thrashed its head left and right, hitting bushes trying to find its aggressor, unsuccessful with anything but getting its antlers stuck in the bushes and then subsequently pulling those up from the pulling motion it constantly produced through the thrashing.
The product of its thrashing was only the worsening of its wounded left leg and tiring its own injured body. When it finally stopped thrashing Avra charged, hitting its left front hoof, right above the knee.
The force behind the charge and the punch channeled completely transferred into the deer, cracking its leg, the deer fell to the floor again, with Avra using a dash to get out of there fast. Before the deer could even thrash he grabbed the deer by the base of its antlers and pulled and twisted until he heard a sharp CRACK.
He had broken its neck to kill it. A clean, efficient, and brutal way to kill another creature.
Panting he prepared himself to butcher it here right now. He snapped the antlers off by the base by using a rock and hitting the skull until a crack resounded and he could pull them off. When that was done he took what remained of the stone spear, more like a stone knife and started cutting at its rib cage, setting the skin aside after scraping off the meat that had been left on the skin in the process. As he cut the meat he placed it on said skin.
After 15 minutes of the process, removing the meat he wouldn't take and cutting the ones he would take, he used pieces of dead vine to tie the deer skin into a pouch, with the meat inside. He left heading towards the cave.
