After returning home, Pari held Shuvo's number in her hand and wondered whether she should call him or not. In the end, she didn't call. Instead, she saved the number on her phone.
She had lied to Shuvo—she actually did have a small mobile phone of her own.
After that, Pari took a bath, had her meal, and went to the tea garden with her mother. She was a very good and responsible girl who always helped her mother with work.
Meanwhile, Shuvo returned home and found his friends sitting in his room. They had come looking for him, as he hadn't answered their calls or met them for the past three or four days.
Seeing him, they said,
"Hey, what's going on with you? No news, no calls—where have you been?"
Shuvo replied,
"Let me freshen up first, then I'll tell you everything."
After freshening up, he had lunch with them and then took them to his room. There, he told them everything about his visit to the hills that day.
His friends asked,
"Are you really serious about this girl, Pari?"
Shuvo nodded and said,
"Yes. She has stolen my heart. She's not only beautiful but also a very good girl. Her eyes are so beautiful that I just want to keep looking at them. There's something extraordinary about her… that's why I can't forget her. I gave her my number—I think she will call."
After chatting for a while, his friends left.
Shuvo was now waiting for Pari's call. Deep inside, he was certain that she would call him.
On the other hand, Pari lay on her bed, thinking,
"I should call him… I did promise."
Finally, she gathered courage and called him.
Seeing an unknown number, Shuvo immediately guessed it was Pari. He picked up the call and said,
"Hello."
From the other side, Pari softly replied,
"Hello."
The moment he heard her voice, Shuvo smiled and said,
"Pari… I knew you would call. I was waiting for your call. What are you doing? This is your number, right?"
Pari replied quietly,
"Yes."
Then she asked,
"Can I ask you something? There are so many girls in the city… why are you following me?"
Shuvo answered honestly,
"Because I like you."
After that, Shuvo introduced himself properly and told her everything about his life.
After listening to all of it, Pari said,
"I'm feeling sleepy… I'm going to sleep."
Shuvo quickly said,
"Okay, but promise me—you'll call me after you wake up."
Pari replied softly,
"Okay."
