Rigel blinked and didn't focus much on the book for now, after all, there was a whole text and he didn't have time to read it now. Instead, he turned to the crew and spoke. "Thomas, take command for now, take us to sea."
Thomas blinked in surprise, then quickly became animated. " Yes, sir!"
Thomas quickly instructed his friends on how to proceed, fortunately, it was only a two-masted brig, and half the work was already done, so they quickly focused on that.
Rigel went to the inner deck and retrieved his wand, using ordinary lumos, he was able to read the text in the book.

[To upgrade the Pirate Hat to (Gold) you need to become a Pirate Lord, becoming the rightful owner of one of the 9 pieces of Ocho, good luck, Writer.]
[P.S.: Your hat was placed directly in your bag for your convenience.]
As soon as Rigel finished reading, he blinked slightly, placing his hand in his bag, it was enchanted to make him take exactly what he wanted, so he picked out a light leather item.
He pulled it out and saw a hat sticking out of the bag, its shrunken size quickly grew to fit his head. It was a black leather hat with the left brim turned up and a white feather sticking out of it.
[A/N: It looks like the hat Will wore when he rescued Jack at the end of the first movie, but it's made of smooth black leather with a simple white feather.]
He ran his hand over it thoughtfully before placing it on his head.
As soon as he put it on, he felt the difference.
It was as if the wind around him had become gentler on his skin, he felt he could command that wind with a simple wish.
He left the warehouse and went to the deck, where he noticed that his subordinates' eyes seemed a little closer to him. He nodded, satisfied.
It was a useful item for this world.
Running his finger along the leather of his hat as the anchor was raised, he pointed forward, the next moment the weak wind seemed to gain strength, he staggered slightly before steadying himself.
His subordinates weren't doing much better, George even fell into an empty barrel, making the boys chuckle slightly.
"Does anyone know of a place to hide not too far away?" Rigel asked.
The boys exchanged glances, and Thomas spoke again. "Sir, there's a cove about 5 miles away, usually nobody goes there."
"Well, let's go there, I still have things to do in Port Royal before I leave." He said.
The group didn't ask many questions, their confidence in Rigel growing rapidly even without the hat's effect.
Rigel did not stand still while the ship sailed, instead, he pointed his wand at the ground and spoke. " Serpensortia."
This was one of the first spells he learned, the ability to summon snakes, although they usually don't last long. He practiced it quite a bit, perhaps because he had Slytherin blood, this spell was very easy for him to practice.
At first, his conjured snakes only lasted a few minutes and were small, non-venomous species, now they could last for days, and he could conjure most of the world's snakes, their venom in no way inferior to the originals.
Rigel didn't know if normal people could summon venomous snakes as easily as he could, but he thought that at least in terms of quality and duration, he was ahead.
What he summoned now was a beaked sea snake, a very venomous and also beautiful aquatic snake with black stripes like rings all over its body.
He didn't stop and continued summoning them until he had twenty.
The boys had already noticed and were filled with fear, but Rigel ignored them for now. He opened his mouth and spoke in a language that sounded like a hiss to the boys. "Hide, protect the boat, don't attack my subordinates."
The snakes didn't need a second warning, they quickly scurried in all directions, hiding throughout the ship.
The boys were already huddled together, screaming as the snakes slithered past them.
Rigel laughed, but shook his head and said. "They'll protect you while I'm gone. If anyone attacks, hide, they'll take care of the rest. You don't need to be afraid."
The five nodded, some fear still on their faces. Even though they had seen that it was Rigel who had summoned them, even though they saw that they obeyed him, the fear of venomous creatures was ingrained in the human gene, they couldn't calm down quickly.
Rigel paid no attention, he went to the ship's bow and watched the waves being cut by with curiosity. It was his first time on a Ship, and fortunately, he seemed unaffected by the tide.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the book writing again about the moonlight that pierced through the clouds.
[...Rigel felt very good, like a first-time sailor, looking at everything with curiosity, everything was new and exciting. His journey as a pirate captain had been marked by uncertainties, but currently he just wanted to enjoy the night sea breeze...]
Rigel stared blankly at the book, averting his gaze and pretending not to see it. In any case, he felt ashamed to read such things, and his good humor was directly affected.
