When Will Turner arrived, he found a strange scene inside a cell with the door open, two figures were calmly playing cards, Jack Sparrow, the pirate he came after, and... a child?
"You're definitely cheating." Jack said, annoyed. he had lost every game.
Rigel just smiled, yes, he was cheating, so what? Can you prove it?
"What's going on here?" Will asked, shock in his voice.
"Ah, it seems our guest has arrived." Jack said, tossing the cards aside, happy to finally stop playing this infernal game. He stood up and approached Will, looking at him carefully. "I imagine you're the Lovers, blacksmith boy."
"What?" Will asked, even more confused.
Jack ignored him and said. "Now that he's here, I'm going to get my things."
Will watched Jack emerge from the cell and realized he had never felt so confused in his life. thankfully, Rigel, who had kept the cards, had just arrived.
"Hello, my name is Rigel Cygnus Black, but you can call me Rigel." Rigel approached, extending his hand for a handshake.
Will looked at the child for a moment longer, confused, but still shook her hand. "William Turner" He introduced himself, but soon felt a strange sensation in his hand. Lifting his hand, he saw that there was a card on it, 'The Lovers'.
"Welcome to the crew, Mr. Turner." Rigel said, walking past him and following Jack.
Jack, who had returned with his things, paused for a moment. "Turner? Interesting..."
He approached Will again, looking him in the eyes, and asked. "A strong name, I imagine it was your father's name as well."
Will looked confused, staring at Jack, but still agreed. "Yes, that was my father's name."
Jack grew even more intrigued, the plot already forming in his mind, but the coldness of the snake against his skin still frustrated him. he needed to get rid of it.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Rigel said, walking past Jack. "A snake's head can still bite and inject venom for hours after it's dead, so if you're going to try it, you'd better be sure."
Jack's lips barely formed a sad smile as he said. "Good to know."
Will finally noticed the black mamba around Jack's neck and took a step back, startled. He finally couldn't take it anymore and asked. "Can someone tell me what's going on here?"
Jack approached Will again, who quickly took another step back, unfortunately getting stuck between Jack and the wall. He was looking directly at the nearby snake, not at Jack's face. Jack didn't seem to mind as he spoke.
"My dear friend, what's happening is that this boy is a Witch. He came here to free me in search of a deal. If I understand correctly, he was waiting for you. Witches are very good at knowing things that nobody else knows, Savvy?" Jack said, drawing even closer, his hands moving as he spoke. "I want the Black Pearl. He wants the treasure, and you, my friend, what do you want?"
Will seemed even more confused. he wanted to scoff at the idea of a 'witch', but instead focused on what was most important. "Miss Elizabeth Swann has been captured by Barbossa, I want to save her!"
Jack paused, looking at Will for a moment, then turned to Rigel, who was eating an apple and calmly watching them.
"Now I understand why you called him 'Lovers'." He said, before turning to Will. "Alright, we'll help you rescue your lovely damsel while you help us retrieve the Black Pearl and Barbossa's treasure, what do you say?"
Will tilted his head, confused, looking at Rigel. "And what about him? Are we really taking a child on board?"
Jack threw his head back slightly, in a laugh that sounded more like a snort. "My dear lovesick friend, I'd worry more about you than about a witch."
"You keep saying he's a witch, what nonsense! It's all rubbish!" Will frowned, tired of being made a fool of.
Rigel picked up the wand and waved slightly. "Wingardium Leviosa."
Jack took a step back as soon as he saw the wand pointed at them, Will, on the other hand, seemed somewhere between laughing and mocking, but he soon stopped thinking that way.
"Ohh! Ohh! What is this! Put me down! Put me down!" Will yelled in shock, floating above the ground as he tried to steady himself in the air. the feeling of having no support seemed truly awful.
"Do you believe me now, Mr. Turner?" Rigel blinked slightly, his face innocent, taking another bite of his apple, completely impassive in the face of Will's panic.
Jack clung to the cell bars, staring at Will floating with wide eyes and pursed lips. He stood still and felt sorry for poor Will for a second before slowly beginning to move away, afraid of being affected as well.
"I believe! I believe! Put me down!" Will was already feeling nauseous, holding his mouth to avoid vomiting.
Rigel shook his head and put Will down, who quickly grabbed a bucket and began to vomit.
Rigel saw Jack's head approaching from behind him as the man spoke. "Very well, I thought that was a really good move."
It was clear that Jack was flattering him, but unfortunately, Rigel focused on the syphilis spot on his neck, as well as the grimy, dirty skin and the stench of rotten teeth on his breath.
Rigel almost threw up.
He turned slowly, looking at Jack with narrowed eyes.
Jack swallowed hard, sensing that something was wrong.
