Aura recounts what happened that day to Ethan. Who has an unreadable expression on his face.
" I couldn't recognize the voice of who said that but they were two of them outside the ladies bathroom. I'm sorry, I can't help with that part." She said a bit down.
" They also said if it wasn't true they were going to make it so. I guess it's to frame you and make it look like we are together. Be careful." She added.
" Thank you for telling me this", Ethan said with a sigh.
" I have one question though" she mentions interrupting his train of thought.
" Go on, what is it?" Ethan asked
Aura took a deep breath in as if she was treading dangerous territory
" Why have you been avoiding me? " She said looking into his blue eyes for confirmation.
Ethan was stunned, he didn't think she would ask that. He was surprised at how insightful she was despite the fact he'd kept it as low as possible.
" You don't make it too obvious." She added " but I feel it's been different these past few days. More different than the first time we met to think you didn't even introduce yourself as the Prince. But now..."
" I'm sorry " he said almost like a promise, looking into her eye. " Did I offend you?"
" I... I-it doesn't matter now. Don't change the topic." She said with a frown. " I'm not simple, answer me."
Ethan didn't know how to, a part of him just wanted to run away now but...
" I like you. But I won't let it interfere with your relationship with my best friend. If you're offended let's avoid each other from now on. " Ethan said like a solemn promise, afraid of her answer.
Aura was stunned speechless
' he actually does have feelings for me. And I'm not mad about it, I'm actually... Thrilled.'
Receiving no response, Ethan assumed she was conflicted and stood up to leave, disappointed, he knew he shouldn't have expected less. His steps felt heavy and reluctant to him. Part of him wanted to defend himself, but he felt it was pointless.
As he was close to the stairs he heard footsteps and felt an arm around his waist.
" I'm not offended, not at all." She couldn't stand the disappointment in his eyes. She wanted him, it's only been a week but she knew.
"Let go." Ethan said holding back himself.
" No"
" Are you aware of what this means?" He said turning to face her. " I can't always hold back, even for a friend, although I'm trying so... Do_ you_ know _ what_ this _ means?" He said taking a step closer to her making her retreat to the nearest stable object, the nearest sofa.
" I... I want you too. Your not the only one holding back." Aura blurted out in flustered.
Ethan was stunned, she, what did she say. It didn't look like she did. She'd been so cautious around him he thought she was drawing boundaries. It felt like a dream.
" Repeat yourself. Please" he asked. Pulling her closer until there was no space left between them.
Aura felt like it was now or never. She couldn't take it back. She didn't want to. " I want you. Ethan I want you."
" That's all I want to hear." He said kissing her, he let his hands find its way behind her bringing her closer to him and letting her straddle him.
Aura felt a pool between her legs. She'd been holding back since she saw him and his bangs, she'd wanted to run her hands through it. She let her hands find its way to his hair, as he led them to the couch sitting down and letting her straddle him properly. They broke off the kiss, breathless.
Ethan came close again.
' this is hard to believe.' he thought
