It was a school day, Monday to be exact. Francis reported back to the Prince early in the morning and on their way to school.
Aura went back to her estate the following day after her intimate moments with Ethan. She wanted to slowly talk to Francis about their relationship. When he approached her, he made it clear that he was attracted to her, and if he ever fell in love he'd inform her of it. He said he wanted to try. Their relationship now was like that of an old couple, small talks and doing things out of habit. They had never been intimate, she had never even met his parents. Sometimes it felt like he was using her to avoid something, or someone.
One moment he's overwhelmingly sweet, next he's like a friend being helpful and considerate. They both really gave each other a try while dating, but it's time to truly define what they have together.
Are they friends or lovers as a cover. A cover for how much they both needed someone real, or someone they couldn't get... Yet, after that moment with Ethan they'd spent time together that day and the day after. Although he was busy, he'd make out time to spend with her. He was attentive and considerate, and he didn't force another intimate moment with her.
She knew she had to talk to Francis at school that day. She soon arrived at school and headed towards class to wait for him.
" Hey, your here. I have something for you." Tina said looking excited.
" What is it?" Aura asked
" You'll know soon, come on." She said pulling her along to her table. She brought out a gift pack.
" We're not that familiar so I wasn't sure I should tell you, but there was a ceremony in my estate yesterday. " Tina said looking a bit embarrassed.
" Thanks" Aura replied looking genuinely happy.
" You're welcome... Can we be friends?" She added before Aura left.
" Sure."
Meanwhile, Francis and Ethan were arriving. Ethan wanted to come clean about the incident but he didn't know how to, so he kept quiet.
On the other hand, Francis was thinking about how to tell aura about his engagement to Avery Blake.
He didn't know if she had feelings for him yet, at least, he didn't think so. He hoped that she won't get hurt or upset. He liked her as a friend on the long run. When he talked about a Future with kids, he felt comfortable but not at all thrilled at the idea. It felt like something he could live with, not something that he'd absolutely love when he woke up everyday.
He had wanted to give it more time but...
' did she actually agree to the engagement. Doesn't she dislike me?' Francis thought.
He remembered how he used to like getting close to her when they were younger.
Overtime he developed feeling for her but she was so quiet, sometimes so cold. She always found him annoying, always picking a fight. At least not at school, she doesn't even pretend to know him there.
On the day he tried to ask her out... He wish he never saw that. He got hurt so badly he just had to leave. Then he met Aura in Hasen, she was pretty. He thought it would be enough to forget everything... To forget her. Why did she agree to this then?
They soon arrived in class as he casually greeted everyone.
He sighted Aura who sighted him as well as Ethan beside him. Giving her a smile in return. Causing her to blush a bit. When Francis approached her, she knew they had to talk.
" We need to talk."
" We need to talk."
They both said at the same time, earning attention, mummuring and glances from the class and a confused frown from Ethan who had to watch as Francis pulled Aura out of the class, getting him a bit jealous again.
