The building looked different this time.
Not because it changed.
But because now… Franko was walking in with purpose.
The glass doors opened automatically as he approached. Inside, the atmosphere was sharper than before. People moved faster. Conversations were quieter.
News of the collapse had spread.
Even those not directly involved could feel it.
Franko walked through the lobby without stopping.
This time, no one questioned him.
In fact, some recognized him.
Whispers followed.
"That's him…"
"The one from yesterday…"
"He predicted it…"
He ignored all of it.
Noise didn't matter.
Only position did.
Upstairs, Amara was already waiting.
A Different Welcome
"Right on time," she said as he entered.
Her tone was calm, but her eyes were focused.
Studying him.
Franko stepped in and closed the door behind him.
"I don't waste time," he replied.
Amara nodded slightly.
"I can see that."
There was no small talk.
No unnecessary words.
Both of them understood what this was.
The Offer Made Real
"I meant what I said," Amara continued, moving back to her desk.
"You'll be joining us."
Franko didn't sit.
He remained standing.
"Position?" he asked.
Amara paused for a second.
Then said:
"Strategic advisor. Direct access to me."
A powerful role.
Not public.
But influential.
Franko considered it for a moment.
Then shook his head slightly.
"No."
The room went quiet.
Amara's eyes narrowed.
"No?" she repeated.
Franko met her gaze.
"If I'm here," he said calmly,
"I don't sit on the side."
A pause.
"I make decisions."
Pressure
The air shifted.
Not aggressively.
But clearly.
Amara leaned back slightly, studying him again.
"You're asking for a lot," she said.
"I'm offering more," Franko replied.
Silence.
He didn't rush.
Didn't push further.
He let the weight of his words settle.
Because this wasn't negotiation.
This was positioning.
The Test
"And what exactly are you offering?" Amara asked.
Franko stepped closer.
"Control over outcomes," he said.
Simple.
But heavy.
"You've seen it already," he continued.
"One decision saved your company from a major loss."
He paused briefly.
"I can do more."
The Shift Happens
Amara tapped her fingers lightly on the desk.
Thinking.
Calculating.
Then she stood.
"You're either extremely confident…" she said slowly,
"…or extremely dangerous."
Franko didn't react.
"Both works," he replied.
A faint smile appeared on Amara's face.
Small.
But real.
Agreement Rewritten
"Fine," she said.
She walked around the desk and stopped in front of him.
"You don't sit on the side."
A pause.
"You sit where decisions are made."
Franko's eyes sharpened slightly.
"Welcome to the core."
A New Position
This wasn't just a job.
It wasn't employment.
It was entry.
Into power.
Into influence.
Into something much bigger.
First Step Inside
"Your first task starts today," Amara said.
Franko nodded.
"Good," he replied.
Because he was ready.
More than ready.
Still Rising
As he stood there, inside the company that once ignored him…
Franko felt it clearly.
This was different.
This wasn't the beginning anymore.
This was acceleration.
And this time…
He was already ahead.
End of Chapter 11.
