Inside the Headmaster's office, the atmosphere was unusually tense.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, I strongly recommend expelling Sean Sebastian immediately!"
Professor McGonagall's expression was extremely serious.
Beside her, Professor Quirrell nervously nodded.
"I-I also agree…"
Dumbledore sat quietly behind his desk, fingers lightly folded together.
Then he looked toward Snape with mild surprise.
"And you, Severus?"
"You don't wish to expel him?"
Snape's face remained as dark and unpleasant as ever.
"Although he openly spoke… that name…"
"He is still a student of Hogwarts."
"And personally," Snape added coldly, "I believe he may become an exceptionally talented wizard."
Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully before turning back toward McGonagall and Quirrell.
"Then tell me your reasons."
Professor McGonagall immediately stepped forward.
"He has absolutely no reverence in his heart."
"None whatsoever."
Then she suddenly raised her wand.
A shimmering light screen instantly appeared in the office.
Within it, Sean and Alice could be seen speaking inside the Magical Menagerie.
"Sean," Alice asked softly, "do you actually like money?"
"Of course not," Sean answered calmly. "Money itself means nothing."
"What I want is power."
"The power to let our family live peacefully in this world."
"And the power to uncover the truth."
The memory ended there.
The magical projection slowly faded away.
Professor McGonagall's expression became increasingly grave.
"The Sorting Hat placed him in Slytherin."
"And his personality…"
She took a deep breath.
"He reminds me far too much of Tom Riddle."
"A terrifying thirst for knowledge."
"A frightening obsession with power."
"We already made that mistake once, Albus."
Her voice softened slightly.
"Hogwarts nearly lost everything because of it."
"If another Dark wizard emerges from this school…"
"Who would ever trust Hogwarts again?"
The office fell silent.
Dumbledore slowly closed his eyes for several seconds before turning toward Quirrell.
"And your thoughts, Professor Quirrell?"
Quirrell nervously swallowed.
"I-I agree with Professor McGonagall."
"He lacks fear."
"And people who fear nothing are dangerous."
Dumbledore remained quiet for a long time.
Finally, the old wizard sighed heavily.
"Very well."
"For now, we'll leave the matter there."
He slowly stood up.
"As for Mr Sebastian…"
"I'll arrange a test for him."
"If he fails, he'll leave Hogwarts."
McGonagall's expression immediately relaxed somewhat.
She gave Dumbledore a respectful nod before turning and leaving the office.
Quirrell hurried out after her.
Once the door closed completely, Dumbledore's shoulders visibly sagged with exhaustion.
"Are you alright, Severus?" he asked quietly.
Snape snorted coldly.
"You're getting old, Dumbledore."
"Old enough to hand Defence Against the Dark Arts to a trembling fool like Quirrell."
Dumbledore chuckled faintly.
"Perhaps."
Then his blue eyes twinkled strangely.
"But I suspect something rather interesting is currently happening inside your house."
Snape frowned slightly.
Then he immediately turned and strode from the office.
…
As Snape rapidly descended toward the Slytherin dormitories, his expression grew increasingly unpleasant.
"Idiots…"
"No doubt the older students are harassing the first years again."
This sort of pure-blood superiority nonsense happened almost every year.
And every year, Snape found it increasingly irritating.
Finally, he arrived before the Slytherin common room entrance.
"Password," the portrait demanded coldly.
"Pure-blood," Snape replied impatiently.
The portrait swung open immediately.
Snape strode inside while already speaking angrily.
"If any of you brainless fools are using magic on first years again, I swear—"
Then he stopped.
Completely.
For several long seconds, Snape simply stood frozen at the entrance.
Because the scene before him was utterly surreal.
Every single Slytherin student—
From first years all the way to seventh years—
Was squatting obediently in the corner of the common room.
Each held a notebook and quill.
Each looked terrified.
And standing calmly in the middle of the room…
Was Sean Sebastian.
At that moment, Sean was casually giving a lecture.
"Stop putting your disgusting obsession with blood purity into every sentence."
"True nobility comes from education and self-control."
"An ancient eastern civilisation once said—"
"There is poetry and refinement within the soul."
"It means that knowledge creates true elegance."
Sean finally noticed Snape standing at the entrance.
"Oh."
"Professor Snape."
He looked mildly surprised.
"Is something wrong?"
Several older students immediately exploded emotionally.
"Professor Snape, save us!"
"This first year's insane!"
"He used magic on all of us!"
"Charlie's front teeth are still enlarged!"
"And he also used—"
The student suddenly froze.
Because Sean's cold voice interrupted him instantly.
"Did I permit you to stand?"
The boy's face turned pale.
Without hesitation, he dropped back into the corner at lightning speed, clutching his ears while looking pitifully toward Snape.
The entire common room became deathly silent once more.
Snape stared at Sean for a very long time.
The pressure radiating from him rose and fell unpredictably, making every student tremble nervously.
Even the older Slytherins barely dared breathe.
