Paslyn's POV
Am Paslyn seventeen years old and in my final year in school.Am tall,althetic and you name any admiration you might sketch for your self ,l will definitely fall in there.
I saw this girl brought into the classroom on the morning of which the school resumed.it's not a new occurrence but my attention was drawn to how courageous this girl was .
"She was the one who talked back at me before assembly"Mica said to me.
"I love the courage "l said smiling.
"You are smiling"Mica said to me
"No,am not .....am just marvelled "l replied her
I hardly smile but when l do it radiates.
She was let go when our English teacher walked in.
I stared at her through the window as l watch her walk away with confidence
My routine after school is to go for my photoshoot.Yeah ,am a model for a shoe company owned by dad basically.
We are two kids in my family,l and my brother,my mum is.....not with us and my dad ,who is always busy sorting things out for himself,my maternal grandma comes to visit us when she is free and we go on holidays to my paternal grandparents house.
After the photoshoot,l drove home .I saw my brother's driver going home as his shift is over ,so ,my brother is home .l dashed upstairs to my room and decided to take my bath.
My hair do grow long but not beyond my ears and l find it annoying that it doesn't grow past that length .l changed into my robe and started going through my phone.
I came across my brother's post on his reels and l saw the girl that l have noticed in my class when he was brought to be punished .She was smiling and laughing,l could see her gap tooth ,her love shaped lips opening and closing .
"She must be living her best life "l muttered sighing to myself.
I decided my study time is in .l drawn my chair to my reading desk and the reading continues to when l decides to sleep in .
About 2 hours later ,l heard l knock on my door ,it clicked open and l saw my dad come in.He came to announce his travel plans with me again.
"Hi,my boy"he said
"Hi,good evening dad"l replied him trying to focus on him
"Am going for a month trip starting from Monday but we have somewhere to go on Sunday"he said smiling at me
"Where ?"l asked staring into his eyes with my pathetic face.
"You will find out ,Chikamso" he said
Chikamso is my second name and am mostly called that at home .
"What of your brother?"he asked
"Must be in his room"l said and he turned and started leaving for his room at the other part of the building.
The next day....
Is the day the prefects are being announced.
I dressed up and went down stairs to the sitting room.
"Hi, Paslyn,l will take a ride with you to school"
"Oh,is the driver's off day today"l asked
"Yeah,it is and his daughter is sick so he might not be able to make it even he decides to come to work"
"Okay,we leave at 7:10"l told him
We entered together and drove to school.
"Pa...no , Chikamso"my brother called out .
"Today is the day we have been waiting for "he said to me smiling
"What is it ?"l asked framing nonchalance.
"Just be behaving as if you don't know it "he said with annoyance.l saw him carry his bag from the trunk of the car and left .l drove to the car park.
In the auditorium,it was noisy as the prefects were being called.l decided to pick out a book and start reading.l read to avert noisy area .
I saw everyone paving way and the spotlight shown on me .
I was pronounced the senior prefect.
