"Oh that was quick,how come?"my aunt asked inquisitively.
Paslyn eyes rolled over me ,he gave a side smile turning to my aunt.
"Yeah,she is my junior"he said
"Wow, that's lovely .What of your brother ?"
"Brother?" I said under my breath .l turned to the side
"Stev is alright"came the reply from the older man whom l have recognised as the dad
"He has a match today,we will be heading there after this meeting"he added
"So back to business miss Maureen"he said looking at Paslyn
Paslyn stood up and wave for me to come out.Avern on the other hand stood up heading to the door.My dumb mind realised that it is now a meeting for the adults but they dragged us into a mess of leaving our comfort zone-our room.
Outside the room was a hallway leading to the dining lounge.we all walked quietly to the lounge.
"What's your name?,troublemaker"
"Like referring to me?"l asked him
"Who else?".l turned to look at the surrounding to know who that might be for .Avern was not looking up so not her .
"You can ask without adding an adjective to describe me"
"But l didn't lie"he said laughing hard
My mood became intensified my voice became sharp
"You should learn how to speak like a gentleman "
"Gentleman?,did l tell you l was one"
"Can you both stop behaving like kids"Avern said interrupting the hitted arguement.
"He is the one behaving like one"l said thinking she will agree with me
"Pure ,you too"she added calling my name
"Pure, that's a lovely name "he said smiling this time
"I want some drink"Avern said to me
"He should get you one not me"l said standing up from my seat to the other end of the lounge .
I noticed that he ordered a drink for Avern .
Paslyn's POV
I was surprised to see her in the room with whom my dad works with.
She looks very pretty l will say to anyone who will be interested to listen to my comments on her.
I left the camera man taking my spot opposite her.And the lady asking if l know her made me to make it very clear to her that l know her very well but online and in school.
Online is from my brother who is a very good friend of hers
Asking her name was also important as l need to hear her speak to me but it felt distant as she was annoyed with my questioning technique .
Thank goodness her cousin answered it for her cause it will be an embarrassment for me.
I watched her leave to the other end of the lounge ,l questioned my developing idea for her.
But l think l succeeded as l got her number and social handle from her calm cousin
After the long meeting l saw them leave the lounge to their car whilst l and my dad sat for some minutes having a quiet tea .
We left for Steven match to cheer him up and for my dad wants to spend time with us before he leave for the business trip he has.
He is trying to make up since our mum died the time he wasn't around.
Football has been the graceful skill transferred to us ,my dad was a goalkeeper,and my mum was a midfielder and l ,Steven also got that but Steven is the only one who takes it far from just being a dream.
He played greatly at the match making them to score two to nil .
With his sweaty body ,l saw girls clustering around him."He is not an international player yet and this is happening"my dad said in a feigning sadness which l know he loves .Steven came running towards us smiling.
"Steven ,that was a good one"dad told him which he replied with a nod .
He took a picture with us as this marks the very first day dad came to watch him play for a while
