Avern's POV
Well, my mum introduced her as my cousin so she is then that to me.l have never seen any of my mum's relative but l have seen most picture about this my aunt .
I saw my mum point out the room beside mine .lt most be cozy for her ,but still l should know how cozy is meant to be because l helped my mum to decorate it for her .
"Am feeling kind of jealous"l heard myself saying."well,l remain her only daughter and child"l said consoling my self .
"But mum ,how long is she going to stay with us?"l asked my mum
"I don't even know but she is going to stay with us for a very long time"my mum said looking at me
"And you have to be nice to her"she added
"Well,l will try" l responded to her quest
Is not going to be easy but it will be alright l thought to myself.
I entered into my room and sat still for some minutes .After about two minutes,l opened my laptop and started searching my usual music albums released and so on ,the previous thoughts of mine left me .
Am Avern as you have learnt ,am Thirteen years old born on astrological era Aries .l bet you will now understand me from that point of view .
I don't have many friends but l keep tight the ones l have basically.
Unlike my newly found cousin,l got the trait of which is recessive but still l look pretty.
Whilst having all this thoughts l slept off
Avern's mum.....
It is quite understandable that she hasn't shared her home since she was born but she needs to understand and learn to accommodate others no matter what and as for me am so happy that she has an older sister now and have found a niece for my self .Am a single mum ,have divorced my husband quite a long time ago ,l could remember the day ,Avern was just two years old and since then l have been both her mum and dad.
Am not always at home that's the main reason am concerned about what might happen during my absent .l signed after having to think for a long time.
Five O'clock.....
The front yard door clicked open and l saw Pure into the house .She looks a bit upset but at the same time tired ,l stared through my window .The driver has brought her back very late but is should be like that cause is Lagos and it's traffic.
I immediately rushed downstairs,she greeted me ."You must be hungry?,go upstairs and tidy yourself up,dinner will be ready by then"l said to her with a smile.
"Yes,aunt "she replied going upstairs.
I need to ask her a lot of things during the dinner time l guess.
I went straight into the kitchen and saw the cook doing her work ,l left after l have supervised .
The cook has being working for us for the past seven years and she is now like a family to us.
"Miss Maureen,the dinner is served "Shaze the cook reported .
"Call the girls ,Shaz"l replied
Is dinner time and one thing l don't like is someone not having their dinner ,dinner to me is like rewinding what happened during the day.
After few minutes, everyone sat down and we prayed .
I saw the girls eating heavy ,l smiled towards them.
"Pure ,how was school today?"l asked her
"Crazy,but is alright"she replied
"If anything is wrong, report to me quickly "l added.
I saw Avern eyes piercing through me
