"It's everywhere," I said, scrolling through the blogs on my phone. All the thoughts running through my head at once.
How did the pictures get to be posted on the tabloids so soon?
Has my family seen it?
I wondered whether my extended family had seen and what they were talking about on the numerous group chats as I zoomed in on the pictures.
Stop.
What the hell was I doing?
I needed this.
Was it just in my head or did we actually look good together.
What was I saying, I shook my head to try to physically shake the thoughts of my head.
Darius yanked the phone from my hand wanting to see why I was exclaiming so hard and what all the ruckus was about.
His expression as soon as he saw the pictures and the articles changed from giddy to being shocked, his thick eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
I stayed quiet, holding my breath.
Waiting for him to say something. As much as he couldn't control what I did with my life, I appreciated his approval.
