"When are you going to introduce us to the family?" my mother asked me with glee in her eyes.
Taken aback, I stared at her for a moment wondering if I heard correctly.
Did she just ask if she could meet his parents.
"What did you say?"
She moved into the room sinking into my twin sized bed I had since I was a child.
My eyes ran over her state, she looked better but I could still see eye bags under her eyes.
She still looked sick.
I wanted to ask her how she was from the last time but I decided against it.
If she didn't bring it up then she didn't want to talk about it.
Her hands folded on her legs "I should be able to meet the parents of the man that stole my precious daughter's heart"
Huh.
I did hear correctly.
"Uhm…I'll ask him I guess" I replied unsure if that was even possible.
I ducked as she walked up to me thinking she was about to hit me but she hugged me instead.
Weird.
It was short but it was something. I don't think she has hugged me in a while.
