Chapter 27 - 27. Revenge

Aadhya's POV

Scan here, scan there… seriously, it's been days. DAYS. And those three idiots? Gone. Vanished. Disappeared like they suddenly discovered discipline and decided to attend classes for once. Suspicious.

I leaned against the corridor wall, squinting like some low-budget detective. "Better stay hidden," I muttered under my breath, cracking my knuckles dramatically, "because the moment I catch you… you're finished. Completely finished. Gone. Deleted. End of story."

Nothing.

Not even a shadow.

Ugh.

Frustrated, I dragged myself back to the classroom like a disappointed villain whose revenge arc got postponed. The moment I stepped inside—

"Where have you been?"

Of course. The King of Lunatics himself. Vivaan. Appearing out of nowhere like a badly timed jump scare.

"Just… somewhere," I replied vaguely, dropping my bag on the desk and avoiding his eyes.

His gaze lingered. Annoyingly sharp.

"Next time, take Avi with you."

Yeah, no.

Of course not. I'm not dragging that kid into my revenge missions. What if he starts offering snacks to my enemies mid-fight?

I ignored him completely and sat down.

My stomach growled.

Great. Hunger + anger = dangerous combination.

"Classmate… do you have something to eat?" one of the monkeys asked hopefully.

I slowly turned toward him.

Oh, I do have food.

But will I give it to you?

Absolutely not.

And then… an idea hit me.

A beautiful. Evil. Petty idea.

I slowly reached into my bag and pulled out a packet of Kurkure.

And just like that…

Every single head in the classroom turned toward me.

Their eyes lit up.

Like tube lights.

Like I had just unlocked heaven.

I moved the packet slightly to the left.

Their eyes followed.

To the right.

Same reaction.

Oh my God.

I almost laughed.

"Interesting…" I whispered, opening the packet extra slowly.

Crunch.

I took a bite.

Silence.

Pure suffering in the room.

Then suddenly—

Dheeraj dragged his bench next to mine without a word.

I didn't even ask. I just handed him the packet.

He took it.

Respect.

Then—

"Aadiiii… me too pleaaase…" Avi appeared on my other side, practically sparkling.

Oh my God, this boy.

How can someone look this cute while begging for junk food?

I smiled and handed him some.

Now the three of us sat there…

Eating.

Peacefully.

While the rest of the class watched like starving wolves.

"Damn it! Don't you have manners?" Nikansh snapped. "People here haven't eaten and you're doing this?!"

I slowly turned toward him.

Right on cue—

GRRRRRR

His stomach growled.

Loud.

I smirked.

Took a Kurkure.

And ate it.

Right in front of him.

With full eye contact.

His expression?

Priceless.

"Why does this happen to us…" one guy muttered dramatically.

"I hope your stomach aches," another cursed.

Wow. So emotional over Kurkure.

"Damnit Nik, bring food for us!" someone shouted.

Nikansh groaned. "Dadu caught me. I blocked all my credit cards."

I blinked.

Rich people problems.

Bell rang.

Lunch break.

"Adi, let's go," Avi said.

I shook my head slowly.

"No… let's eat here."

He looked unsure.

But I was already taking out my tiffin.

Today's special—

Aloo ke parathe.

Made in a hurry.

Unknown quality.

Risk factor: high.

I handed Avi his box and opened mine.

Dheeraj looked confused but hopeful.

"Let's share," I said, smiling.

And then…

We attacked the food.

Like we hadn't eaten in centuries.

Meanwhile…

The rest of the class?

Drooling.

Some looked like they were about to file a case against me.

Then suddenly—

One boy ran forward.

Knelt.

And grabbed my skirt.

"Please… give me some…"

I froze.

What.

Is.

Happening.

Others followed.

Multiple people.

Begging.

For parathas.

Wow.

New achievement unlocked: Food Goddess.

"Sorry… it's finished," I said, showing them the empty box.

One guy almost cried.

"You're bad…"

He walked away like I broke his heart.

Okay… now I feel a little bad.

Just a little.

Maybe.

Avi returned the box, smiling happily.

I went to the washroom.

Came back.

Sat down.

Wait.

Where is everyone?

I looked around.

Same broken benches.

Same dusty walls.

Same depressing vibe.

Okay yeah, right classroom.

But where are these idiots?

I heard noise outside.

I walked out.

And froze.

What.

The.

Hell.

They were all standing straight.

Saluting.

Singing the national anthem.

Did I miss Independence Day?

My eyes shifted upward.

And I almost screamed.

"HEY! THAT'S MY BAG!"

My bag.

Hanging on the flagpole.

These lunatics turned my bag into the national flag.

"Don't disrespect the flag!" one shouted.

I stared at Avi.

He was saluting too.

With full patriotism.

I walked up and smacked his head.

"My bag," I said, pointing.

"Oh… they're getting revenge," he said casually.

Of course they are.

Why wouldn't they be.

I facepalmed.

Then… idea.

"Get it down quickly," I said seriously, "there's chocolate inside. It'll melt."

Silence.

Then—

"CHOCOLATE?!"

Chaos.

Absolute chaos.

Everyone rushed the pole.

Climbing, pushing, shouting.

And suddenly—

One guy jumped over all of them and grabbed the bag.

I blinked.

That looks like—

I turned.

Avi was gone.

I turned back.

That monkey was Avi.

He ran toward me, handed me the bag—

And we both RAN.

Behind us—

"HEY COME BACK!"

"GIVE US SOME!"

We didn't stop.

We ran into a building.

Slid inside a classroom.

Closed the door.

Silence.

Relief.

Then—

"Oh… oh Adi…"

Avi looked terrified.

"Wait… let me check…"

I turned.

And froze.

Section A.

Perfect.

Just perfect.

"What are you doing here?" the teacher shouted.

"THEY ARE BUNKING!" Riya's voice rang out.

Of course.

Of course it's her.

"Avi…" I whispered.

He pointed to the window.

Escape route.

Without hesitation—

He ran.

Jumped.

Out.

From the first floor.

Everyone gasped.

I didn't even think.

"Are you going to jump too?" someone asked.

"Yes."

And I jumped.

Not gracefully.

Definitely not like a power ranger.

More like a falling potato.

"Ow."

My leg hurt.

"Let's go!" Avi shouted.

"Coming!"

We ran again.

Reached near the auditorium.

And then…

I saw them.

The three idiots.

Section D.

Smoking.

Laughing.

Like nothing happened.

Perfect.

"Avi, go back to class. I'm coming."

"But Adi—"

"Avi. Don't be stubborn."

He froze.

Then nodded.

And left.

Good.

I cracked my neck.

Cracked my knuckles.

A slow smile spread across my face.

"Let's see now…" I muttered, stepping toward them.

"Oh boys…"

My voice came out calm.

Too calm.

"Miss me?"
