Chapter 33 - 33. Explaining

Vivaan's POV

I returned to the classroom.

Didn't need to be there anyway.

Aadhya took the case—the one that was meant for me. Good. Saves time. Saves trouble. Saves explanations.

Not that I explain anything to anyone.

"Where is Adi?" Avi asked the moment I stepped in. Worried. Of course he is. That kid worries like it's his full-time job.

"Tch." I dropped into my seat, leaning back like none of this mattered.

"In the guidance room. With her guardian."

Simple. Straight. No emotions.

I sat there, relaxed.

Because honestly? She won't get into real trouble.

Not with him backing her.

Amar Mahajan.

Power protects power. That's how the world works. Always has.

"Did she do what you expected?" Nik asked.

I glanced at him for a second, then looked away.

"Yeah. She's ready to accept the expulsion." My tone stayed flat. Bored.

Like it didn't matter.

Like she didn't matter. Which is true anyway.

But Nik didn't look convinced. He looked… uneasy.

Excuse me?

"Her guardian showed up," I added, tapping my fingers lazily on the desk.

"Guess who. Big shot—Amar Mahajan."

Nik's brows lifted slightly. "I heard he's the new CEO of Mahajans Enterprises."

I paused.

Just for a second.

Then leaned back again.

What.

Seriously?

Interesting.

"No wonder your buddy got cockier ," Nik muttered. "I'm sure Reyansh would end up working in the company too."

Reyansh.

I let that name sit in my mind for a moment.

Yeah… knowing him, he would rise.

Higher than everyone else.

That calm face. That control. That king-like attitude he carries around like he owns everything.

But will he still rise…

after what I know?

A smirk tugged at my lips.

Let's see how high a king stands when the ground beneath him starts cracking.

"I'm fine as long as dadu doesn't accept their deal," Nik said, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I shrugged.

Deals. Companies. Power shifts.

I don't care.

Money comes to me anyway. It always does. I don't chase it—it waits. I don't have any intentions of involving our companies. Especially not with theirs. I don't care what's going on with their company.

All I do is… decide when to take it.

"What's next?" Nik asked again. "Are you done with your tests for Aadhya?"

Tests.

I leaned forward slightly, resting my elbows on my knees.

Am I done?

A faint smirk appeared again.

"Few more."

My voice dropped. Calm. Certain.

"Then the plan begins."

Reyansh Mahajan…

I hope you're enjoying that smirk of yours.

Because I'm about to erase it.

Aadhya's POV

"Promise my ass. You said you won't get into trouble—now what's this?"

Bhaiyya didn't even give me a second to breathe before grabbing my ear.

"Ahhh bhaiyaa—it hurts!" I yelped, trying to free myself because IT ACTUALLY HURT. What is this torture technique? Who invented this ear-pulling punishment??

Then he finally let go.

I instantly rubbed my poor ear like it had been through war.

"You know you just lost your chance to move to another section," he continued, voice still sharp. "Now the school will keep you under constant watch. Like Vivaan. Like Nikansh."

I blinked.

Wait.

"How do you know Nikansh?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"Don't. Change. The topic."

He literally snapped.

Okay wow.

Why does he sound like a judge delivering a death sentence?

I shut up immediately. National speech chal raha hai. Interrupt karna mana hai.

He kept driving, and I sat there quietly… but then something felt off.

We weren't going home.

Hmm?

I looked outside.

Oh.

Ohhh.

We stopped in front of his office building.

Why are we here??

He got out. I followed like a lost duckling.

Inside, he grabbed a visitor pass and—plop—hung it around my neck.

Excuse me??

Do I look like a school kid on a field trip??

Actually… don't answer that.

He walked. I followed.

Elevator. 5th floor.

He walked out. I followed.

At this point, I'm convinced I'm just an NPC following the main character.

A lady approached him—pencil heels, perfect posture, literally glowing like she walked out of a magazine.

Wow.

I stared for two seconds.

Then—

Aadhya focus.

YOU ARE ALSO A GIRL.

Have some self-respect.

I straightened up and walked behind him into his cabin.

He started talking to her about some office stuff.

Important stuff.

Serious stuff.

Meanwhile, me?

I started wandering around.

Left… right… near the shelf… near the desk…

Basically looking like a lost puppy with VIP access.

Then I saw it.

A shiny, round thing on the shelf.

Wow.

It looked expensive.

Which obviously means—

I should touch it.

I picked it up.

Turned it around.

Examined it like I'm some art critic.

And then—

Thak.

It slipped.

Fell.

My soul left my body.

I instantly picked it up and slowly turned toward bhaiyya.

He was glaring.

Oh no.

I smiled nervously.

"Uh—"

"Aadhya. Come here and explain."

Oh.

This is it.

This is how I die.

"Bhai I didn't know it would fall by—"

"Not that."

He cut me off.

Oh.

Thank god.

Wait—oh no.

"The incident. What happened?"

Ohhh… THAT.

I walked and sat on the sofa like a criminal about to confess.

And then I explained everything.

Well… almost everything.

I told him about those boys. The attack. The fight.

And how Vivaan showed up.

How he beat them.

What I didn't say?

Riya.

Nope.

That chapter is staying sealed.

I finished and looked down, waiting.

Silence.

Then—

"Trying to be a hero?"

He asked.

Accusing tone.

I shook my head.

"No… just returning the favor. For his help."

He didn't say anything for a moment.

Then sighed.

"Fine. I'll let it slide. Next time—be careful."

I nodded so fast my neck almost snapped.

"Yes bhaiyya."

Then suddenly—

"Here. Take this."

He handed me his credit card.

I froze.

Wait.

What.

"Don't go home right now. Mom will worry. Go somewhere. Entertain yourself. Buy whatever you want."

Did he just say—

Buy whatever you want???

My brain stopped.

My soul ascended.

My eyes SHINED.

I took the card slowly… like it might disappear.

"Can I… buy anything?" I asked, just to confirm this wasn't a dream.

He nodded.

"You know the PIN, right?"

I nodded instantly.

OF COURSE I DO.

I HAVE BEEN TRAINED FOR THIS MOMENT.

"Okay."

He patted my head and walked out.

And I just stood there.

Looking at the card.

Smiling like a villain who just unlocked unlimited power.

"Yes."

I whispered.

"YES."
