Chapter 7 - The Devil's Wrath

Under the glittering lights of the rooftop restaurant, Arisa stood frozen. Seeing Rafi felt like a mirage in the middle of a nightmare. As Rafi began to walk toward her with wide eyes, the crushing grip of Abir on her wrist reminded her exactly who she belonged to.

"Who are you looking at, Arisa?" Abir's voice was calm, yet bone-chilling. "Are your eyes searching for someone? Remember, those eyes were made only to look at me."

He dragged her toward the VIP table, but the moment Rafi called out her name, Abir stopped. His jaw tightened, a dangerous glint flickering in his eyes. He turned slowly to face Rafi.

"Arisa? Is that you? What's going on... and what is that on your neck?" Rafi asked, reaching out to touch her arm.

Before his fingers could graze her skin, Abir swiped his hand away and grabbed Rafi by the collar. The entire restaurant fell silent. All eyes were on them.

"Don't you dare touch her," Abir hissed, his voice dropping to a predatory growl. "She is mine. Looking at her is like digging your own grave. Tonight is my dinner with Arisa, and I won't have any trash interfering."

"Abir... please! He's just an old friend. Let him go!" Arisa cried out, her voice trembling.

"Friend?" Abir laughed, a dark, joyless sound. "There is no room for 'friends' in my kingdom, Arisa. Especially not a friend who looks at you the way he does."

Abir shoved Rafi back with brute force and practically carried Arisa out of the restaurant. He threw her into the Lamborghini and sped off into the night. Arisa sobbed, pleading for him to slow down, but Abir was beyond mercy.

Upon reaching the mansion, he dragged her to her room. Her blue saree was disheveled, and her makeup was ruined by tears. Abir pinned her against the wall, his hot breath fanning against her neck.

"I could have given you the world, Arisa," Abir whispered, his voice thick with a terrifying obsession. "But you thought about leaving me for that pathetic boy? Tonight, I will teach you the price of betraying Abir Khan."

He tugged at the diamond choker, making Arisa gasp for air. She realized with a sinking heart that after tonight, her life would never be the same again.
