Chapter 12 - Race Against Time

As Arisa's eyes fluttered shut, the sounds around her seemed to drift away into a distant void. After hearing Abir's cruel laughter for the last time, her body went limp against the bedsheets. The blue toxin was beginning to surge through her veins. Meanwhile, the front gate of the mansion had turned into a battlefield. Aryan was using every ounce of his influence and strength to force his way inside.

"Officer, don't wait anymore!" Aryan shouted, looking at the police captain. "Abir Khan is a psychopath. He could be hurting Arisa this very second. We have to break that door down now!"

As the tactical team smashed through the gates, Abir's armed guards tried to intercept them. But they were no match for Aryan's desperation. Aryan sprinted up the grand staircase, every passing second feeling like an eternity.

Inside the bedroom, Abir was calmly stroking Arisa's hair. The blood on his forehead from the vase had begun to clot.

"Ah, Arisa..." Abir whispered. "You look like an angel when you sleep. Soon, you will wake up, and all this defiance, all this hate—it will be gone. You will only know me."

Suddenly, the door was kicked open with a thunderous crash. Aryan burst in, followed by a group of officers. Seeing his sister tied to the bed, unconscious, Aryan lost all control. He lunged at Abir, pinning him against the wall. Though caught off guard, Abir quickly regained his footing and landed a brutal punch on Aryan's jaw.

"You're too late, Mr. Aryan," Abir sneered, even as police officers tackled him to the ground. "Arisa can never return from the world I've sent her to."

The officers pinned Abir down and handcuffed him. Aryan, with trembling hands, untied the restraints and pulled Arisa into his arms. But she didn't move. Her body felt unnervingly cold.

"Arisa! Open your eyes, sister! Look, I'm here!" Aryan cried out. "Officer, call an ambulance! Now!"

Abir continued to laugh even as he was dragged away in cuffs. That laughter seemed to burn through Aryan's soul. The walls of the mansion stood as witnesses to a new war—a battle between love and madness that had now reached the threshold of life and death.
