Chapter 3 - Chapter 2. Same Thing

".....And for defense of course." She added on as if it was an after thought.

Sunny just stared at her in complete disbelief and shook. "I don't want to help you with that actually." He stated.

Sasha's expression shifted instantly, her eyes narrowed and her shoulders tensed up.

"It wasn't a request that you assist me. It was a demand. This whole area is infested with barbarians. They wreck havoc and chaos everywhere they go."

She paused before continuing.

"So that's why I must neutralize their kindness before leaving this place for good." She stated.

"Thats kind of racist don't you think. Hating on one specific species for just being they what they are is kinda crossing that line." Sunny told her with a neutral face.

Sasha thought about it for a fraction of a second. "Well then isn't that just everyone at this point of life." She commented on his statement.

Sunny nodded, stopped to eat then nodded again. "Okay, but why do you hate barbarians, like what did they do to you?" Sunny asked her.

"They tore my original body apart!" She shouted before calming herself down. "Have you ever felt the sensation of your tendons, ligaments and skin be pulled apart?" She asked him.

"....No." Sunny uttered.

"Yes that's what i thought, anyway if you don't want to help that's fine. But my death will be lingering in your subconsciousness until you go mentally insane." She told him.

"...okay, when do we start this whole task?" He asked.

"Good boy, I expect you to be of much help tomorrow ." She uttered as she stared at the flames.

The Next Day.

Location : Town Chapel.

Sunny and Sasha got up at the crack of dawn and made their way to the town centre. Sasha still refused to return his clothing and stopped responding to any questions related to it.

She guarded him through the ruins of it, giving him little bits of information regarding the town before...

Soon they reach an old chapel south of the town. The House of The Blind Eye was engraved onto a wooden sign.

"This place looks more like a cult hideout than a church." Sunny stated.

"Yeah, what would you expect from barbarians? Come on." She told him as she walked past the gate.

The air around the chapel shifted instantly, Sunny felt the coldness spread throughout his body.

Sasha pushed the door open, it creaked heavily under its weight.

The inside was dark and damp, with a few torches providing light.

Sunny's eyes wandered through the building, taking in every small detail and until his gaze landed on a figure at the far end.

Sasha grabbed a torch and followed Sunny, at the far was a man, old, dirty, looking like he might fall over and die.

Next to him was a worse looking woman. They look up and stare at both Sunny and Sasha, the man's gaze immediately.

"You! I thought we killed you, you monster!." The man shouted, his voice loud and rough.

"I'm surprised your low intellectual minds could actively remember me. Oh look at you, are you gonna cry?" Sasha stated mockingly.

Sunny watched on without saying a single word, he just watched on as the old man started crying and sobbing.

"You're a monster. And it seems you've acquired a new puppet to use and manipulate too." He uttered towards Sunny.

"Okay, what's going on? Sasha said you tore up your body apart." Sunny stated.

"Which is true." Sasha added.

"That's because this monster sacrificed our children to the vultures." The woman stated.

"Huh?" Sunny asked.

"Yeah that is true, but I was doing the world a favor by reducing the numbers of you creatures. You should be thanking me really, who knows what kind of stupidity your offspring would have brought."

Sasha stated as if stating a fact or observation.

Sunny felt the pain and hurt in the man and woman's expressions and reactions.

The woman gets upset and charges towards Sasha but she simply punches her away, not bothering to entertain her.

"Hey, that was rough, you know, she's a barbarian, not an animal." Sunny states.

"To me there's no difference, they're the same thing as animals in my eyes." Sasha told him.

Sunny looked at her for a long moment. Then he looked at the old man still weeping on the floor.

He didn't say anything else.

Sasha stepped forward, fist clinched in one hand while the other held a torch.

Sunny stepped in front and blocked her. "Move Sunny, you don't understand what they are capable of."

She told him but made no attempt to move.

Sunny stood his ground, but something inside him was telling him that it was wrong.

Before Sunny uttered another word, he felt a sharp intense pain in his lower abdomen.

He looked down and saw a dagger pierce through him.

"Sasha i....." he couldn't finish his sentence when he hit the ground, the warmth of his blood coating his front.

He raised his head and noticed that Sasha was gone, the man and woman surrounded him.

"Call the others!!" The old man shouted, "And begin the ritual, we must..."

Sunny didn't hear the rest as everything went dark.
