Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

In the sky, the glaring presence of Kael and Lumine quickly drew Dvalin's attention.

"Roar!"

With just a single mighty roar, the wind blast sent Kael stumbling backward.

Holding Lumine tightly, Kael adjusted his stance against the wind to keep his balance.

Seeing Dvalin swoop toward them with its massive jaws wide open, Kael wrapped one arm around Lumine's waist and stretched out his other arm.

In an instant, purple lightning gathered in his palm, crackling and humming loudly.

Boom!

At the same time, a thunderous rumble echoed across the dark, cloud-filled sky.

Several bolts of lightning tore through the heavens, as if a heavy storm was about to break.

"Roar!"

Boom!

The moment Kael raised his arm, the deafening thunder completely drowned out Dvalin's dragon roar.

Dvalin was getting closer and closer.

Worried, Lumine buried her face completely in Kael's chest.

"Now."

Kael had no intention of dodging. He simply let his lightning-charged arm slowly drop downward.

Dvalin: "??"

Dvalin: "What is he trying to do? Does he really think a mortal body can fight me?"

Jean: "Dvalin, Kael might not be just a mortal. After all, he can wield all seven types of Elemental Power."

Zhongli: "Come to think of it, the Traveler Lumine also seems capable of using multiple elements."

Dvalin: "No matter how many elements he knows, you don't actually think those little sparks in his hand can hurt me, do you?"

Dvalin wasn't wrong.

Compared to Dvalin's massive body, the lightning in Kael's palm was smaller than one of the dragon's claws.

Even if that bit of Electro power hit Dvalin, it probably wouldn't even feel like a tickle.

But Kael's decision wasn't wrong.

To fight an Anemo dragon, you definitely need to use a different element.

Sangonomiya Kokomi: "It's a pity. Mr. Kael's massive Anemo power is completely useless against an Anemo dragon."

Kamisato Ayaka: "Is Mr. Kael really going to get bitten to death by Dvalin? Why doesn't he just use his Anemo power to fly away quickly?"

Raiden Ei: "Electro power... I have a feeling the Reincarnator's plan is to draw down heavenly lightning from the sky to fight Dvalin."

Venti: "What? He wasn't planning to use the lightning in his palm?"

Raiden Ei: "He... surely isn't foolish enough to think the lightning in his hand could actually affect Dvalin."

Yae Miko: "Oh, you never know. What if the Reincarnator's power goes beyond everyone's expectations? Didn't someone once cut a massive canyon with a single, seemingly ordinary slash?"

Kujou Sara: "You're overstepping. Watch your words. Honestly, you dare to comment on anyone's business."

Lumine: "So, according to the Raiden Shogun, the lightning flashing in the sky earlier was actually caused by Kael?"

Raiden Ei: "Yes. My intuition tells me Kael will win."

Dvalin: "You're underestimating me. (Annoyed)"

Just as Kael's arm was about to drop, suddenly, a hurricane far stronger than anything seen over Mondstadt erupted in the sky.

"What's going on?"

Kael froze for a moment.

His body immediately lost its balance.

At the same time, Dvalin's massive body was also blown off its original flight path.

As if sensing something, Dvalin raised its huge head toward the sky, then suddenly turned around and chose to flee Mondstadt.

However, the sudden hurricane had already thrown Kael off balance.

His lightning-charged arm dropped at that exact moment.

Boom!

In an instant, a blinding flash lit up the dark sky.

Boom!

The next second, a massive pillar of lightning poured down from the heavens.

Dvalin: "....."

Lisa: "Oh my? What was that sudden hurricane just now? It felt very strange."

Dvalin: "....."

Venti: "As expected of the Raiden Shogun. You guessed it perfectly."

Raiden Ei: "It wasn't a guess."

Yae Miko: "Did Kael really do this?"

Lumine: "I'm not sure, but I think it was him."

Paimon: "Wow! The Reincarnator is so amazing! Luckily, the buildings in Mondstadt have lightning protection to disperse the strike's power. Otherwise, the whole city would have been blown up!"

Furina: "Hiss..."

Furina looked at Kael, who sat across from her with a harmless expression.

This guy is actually this strong?

He literally tried to strike Mondstadt's elemental dragon dead by calling down lightning.

If this guy gets angry, would he call down lightning on Fontaine too?

Feeling Furina's strange gaze, Kael raised an eyebrow and said, "Does Fontaine not have lightning protection like Mondstadt?"

"I feel like Fontaine's technology is more advanced than Mondstadt's."

"Of course we do." Furina sat up straight and said seriously, "I just think you're really strong. That's all."

Abyss Order.

Aether stared blankly at the light screen.

Could that heavenly lightning really have been summoned by Kael?

If it's true, doesn't that mean Dvalin can't possibly defeat him?

"What a useless elemental dragon."

Seeing their Prince in a bad mood, the Abyss cultist beside him quickly smiled and said, "Please don't be upset, Your Highness."

"If Dvalin really can't beat the Reincarnator, there's still you."

"With your strength, you can definitely handle the Reincarnator."

Hearing this, Aether let out a cold snort. "Do I need you to tell me that?"

"As her older brother, I will absolutely not stand by and watch the Reincarnator lead Lumine astray."
