The two stared at each other. Where was the bard who supposedly won three championships in a row? If he was so amazing, why did he not have a single Mora on him? It was hilarious. He was supposed to be the Honorary Knight, yet he did not have a single Mora either. Kael and Venti did not say anything about it. But their disgusted looks at each other said it all. Still, they had a job to do.
Using Anemo power, Kael moved like a ghost. He was so fast that the night guards could not even see him. He easily grabbed the Holy Lyre der Himmel.
"Venti!" Kael held the Holy Lyre der Himmel and rushed out of the church doors. "I got the lyre. We can summon Dvalin now."
But instead of a reply, he heard a shocked voice. "Kael... You... What are you doing?"
The familiar voice made Kael's scalp tingle. He looked up. Venti was nowhere to be seen at the church entrance. The person waiting for him was none other than the Knights of Favonius' Acting Grand Master, Jean. She was staring at him in complete disbelief.
The Honorary Knight actually broke into the church to steal the Holy Lyre der Himmel. If this news spread, it would badly damage the reputation of the Knights of Favonius among the citizens. Besides, Kael had faced Dvalin and helped Mondstadt solve the dragon disaster. That was how he earned the title of Honorary Knight. But no matter what, he was not a native of Mondstadt. If this became a scandal, people could easily label him as a spy from another nation. This would be a very serious matter for both him and the Knights.
"Come with me to the Knights' headquarters right now." Hearing shouts of pursuit from behind, Jean did not waste another second. She grabbed Kael's hand and ran straight toward the headquarters.
Jean walked ahead with a helpless look on her face. Kael followed quietly behind her. They walked in silence all the way to the headquarters. Lumine happened to see this scene. She was already in a bad mood. She had not seen Kael all day. Feeling uneasy, Lumine froze the moment she saw Kael and Jean together. Late at night, the two of them looked so sneaky. She did not have time to think too much. Lumine quickly and quietly followed them, wanting to see what they were up to. She pressed her ear against the office door. The conversation between Jean and Kael reached her ears.
"Sigh, my Honorary Knight, Mr. Kael, what exactly are you trying to do?"
Lumine gasped.
"Why would you steal the Holy Lyre der Himmel from the church?"
The following words made Lumine breathe a sigh of relief. But the next second, her eyes went wide. She could not believe her ears. How could Kael steal things from the Mondstadt church? It was impossible. Even if he did steal food supplies from Hilichurls, with his skills, why would he steal from the church if he just wanted to steal? He could have taken something much more valuable. Kael was definitely not the type to steal from the Mondstadt church.
"A bard told me he could summon Dvalin by playing the Holy Lyre der Himmel. And judging by how confident he was, I think that person's identity is not simple." Kael explained everything about Venti to Acting Grand Master Jean in detail.
"So Dvalin's mind was controlled by the Abyss Order because he was corrupted by the Blood of the Corrupted Dragon?" Jean repeated the words to herself. Her eyes were full of shock.
"So I feel that this seemingly unreliable bard might be connected to Barbatos."
"That's true. Rumor has it the Holy Lyre der Himmel was once played by the Anemo Archon, Lord Barbatos. Could it be that..." Jean stopped herself from finishing the sentence.
