Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

The atmosphere was awkward, but filling their stomachs was the top priority.

Lumine was simple-minded and did not refuse Kael's offer. Under Kael's care, she ate to her heart's content.

After eating and drinking their fill, Lumine told Kael about her situation.

"So that is how it is."

"You and your brother were trying to leave this world when a certain god stopped you."

"Now that you have woken up, you have lost most of your memories. The only thing you can remember is your sibling."

"It looks like finding your brother is the only way to help you remember the past."

He had a rough idea of the situation now. Kael was also a transmigrator. He had opened his eyes to find himself in this world. However, from chatting with the people he met, he had picked up some local information.

This land belonged to a wind god known as Barbatos. It was called Mondstadt. It was a certain distance from Starfell Valley, where the main city of Mondstadt was located.

Looking at the confusion in Lumine's pure eyes, Kael said, "I am just like you. I also descended to this place."

"I have heard this continent is called Teyvat, and it has seven nations."

"The region we are in is governed by a wind god named Barbatos, and it is called Mondstadt."

Pausing for a moment, Kael met Lumine's gaze and continued, "This is a very magical world."

"Nature here is filled with strong Elemental Power."

With that, Kael opened his hand, and a fireball suddenly appeared. Lumine's beautiful eyes widened in surprise.

Kael explained, "This is Pyro Elemental Power. You can get it just by touching a Pyro Slime outside."

Then, the fireball vanished, replaced by a blue water sphere. At the same time, Kael opened his other hand, revealing a spinning cyan sphere.

"The blue one is a water sphere."

"The cyan one is a wind sphere."

"Hydro Elemental Power is also gained by touching Hydro Slimes. But the Anemo power came from touching a certain statue."

"I think this world will be very exciting."

"You can use Elemental Power to do things ordinary people cannot."

Touching a Slime grants the corresponding Elemental Power? The people of Teyvat felt like a whole new world had just opened up for them. As native residents of Teyvat, every person who could use Elemental Power had touched at least eight hundred, if not a thousand, Slimes. They had never heard of such a magical thing.

Kael's explanation made the people of Teyvat look incredibly foolish. Having lived in Teyvat for thousands of years, yet unable to absorb Elemental Power from Slimes? Did the gods of Teyvat love the people of Teyvat, or did they love these Descenders who came from elsewhere?

Alhaitham: "Touching a Slime grants Elemental Power? Even if I search through every terminal in Sumeru, I will not find such a claim."

Paimon: "Of course not! Lumine came from another world to Teyvat. Being able to use multiple elements without being restricted by the seven is already amazing. But Kael claims he gets Elemental Power just by touching Slimes? He..."

Nahida: "Mr. Kael seems even more special than Miss Lumine."

Lumine: "He is just talking nonsense with a straight face."

Jean: "But according to what Kael said, he has been in Starfell Valley in Mondstadt since he arrived. His knowledge only comes from bits and pieces overheard from passersby. He definitely does not know much."

Lisa: "The main thing is that the Traveler actually seems to believe him. I can see curiosity in Lumine's eyes."

Lumine: "He... he is misleading me!"

Paimon: "Do not worry, Lumine. Once we meet, I am sure we can correct this wrong idea."

Kael put away his elemental display. He said calmly, "Since you and your sibling were stopped by a blocking god,"

"I guess to find information about your brother, we need to go to Mondstadt's main city and find this so-called wind god."

"As a fellow god, he should know something."

"Maybe he can even help you recover your memories."

Hearing this, Lumine felt a bit shy. Kael had just said "we" instead of "you." What a kind-hearted person.

"You..."

"Do you mean we are going to Mondstadt together?"

"Yeah," Kael admitted. "I have been in this world for a while now."

"I have been staying alone in this forest the whole time."

"It is about time I went out and took a look."

Lumine nodded obediently. Suddenly, she asked curiously, "Do you not have anything you want to do? After all, this world does not belong to us."

But to her surprise, Kael shook his head, a faint smile on his lips. "I do not really mind."

"Since I have no ties to my past, I am actually quite curious about this world."

"If possible, I would really like to stay here."

Amber: "From what they are saying, is the Reincarnator planning to take the Traveler straight to Mondstadt?"

Kaeya: "So the Reincarnator, Kael, is replacing Paimon as the Traveler's guide?"

Paimon: "Hey! No way. Am I really going to miss out on meeting Lumine?"

Lumine: "I am so worried. Is Kael reliable? After hearing him talk about getting Elemental Power from Slimes, why do I feel so unsure?"

Jean: "At least from what we have seen, Kael's strength seems quite formidable. With both of you arriving this time, if you run into the Dragon disaster, you will probably handle it much faster than before."

Dvalin: "That is not necessarily true. The Reincarnator's involvement has clearly already changed the historical trajectory of this timeline. Everything is going to change."

Venti: "The bard is about to start a new chapter in his songbook."
