Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

It was a shock right from the start.

When the man sat down, his face stayed hidden.

For a moment, everyone in Teyvat panicked.

Judging by the opening scene on the screen, those long steps and that bright throne, glowing with rainbow light, could only belong to one place in all of Teyvat.

It had to be the floating island above them.

Paimon: "What is going on? Such a grand scene right at the start. Did he actually sit on the Heavenly Principles' throne in his past lives?"

Lumine: "Paimon, how do you know it is the Heavenly Principles' throne? Maybe it is just a place we have not seen yet."

Paimon: "Huh? Really? I just thought only the one up in the sky could shine that brightly."

Yae Miko: "Calm down and think. It is not that strange. Novels often use this kind of trick. They start with a shocking scene to grab your attention, even if it has nothing to do with the actual plot."

Keqing: "Why does everyone jump to gods whenever they see something flashy? Could it not just be the Reincarnator's own power shining? Maybe he has great strength, carved steps into a high mountain, and built that throne himself."

Yae Miko: "That does not matter anymore. There have not been any good novels lately. Let us just enjoy the Reincarnator's story. Let it begin."

Paimon: "You sound just like someone else. Furina loves stories too. She must be really excited right now."

Paimon: "Traveler, should we go find Furina and watch it together?"

Lumine: "Yeah, that is a good idea."

Furina: "Wait, do not come looking for me. I am out right now. I am not at home."

Paimon: "Ah, what a pity."

Ding!

The screen suddenly went black.

The system's voice echoed once more.

Reincarnator Identity Confirmed

Name: Kael

Gender: Male

Ability: Unknown (Manifests differently in each life)

Special Trait: Outsider

Outsider?

The people of Teyvat were no strangers to this term.

Just like the Traveler, who was searching for their sibling.

They were both outsiders from another world.

Paimon: "An Outsider? Could he be from the same world as the Traveler?"

Lumine: "Probably not. I do not remember ever seeing an Outsider with black hair."

Yae Miko: "Still, judging by the screen, this Reincarnator named Kael is quite handsome. He fits my standards for a male lead perfectly."

Neuvillette: "This person..."

Paimon: "Neuvillette, do you know him?"

Neuvillette: "I do not. But I feel like I have seen him somewhere before."

At Kael's home.

Furina was enjoying some snacks while waiting for the story to begin.

She stared at the screen, completely stunned.

After a long pause, she turned to Kael with excitement. "Hey! You actually got chosen."

"It is so surprising. I never thought my neighbor would be the main character of this story."

"Can you give me some spoilers about your past?"

"And that throne just now, what was that all about? Were you really that powerful before?"

"Idiot, it is a cycle story. You really think I would remember everything?" Kael replied, rolling his eyes.

His memories were not completely gone.

He had just gone through too many lives. Picking out specific details to explain would be a headache.

Besides, even if he did remember everything, he had no plans to share it with anyone.

A man who loses his mystery becomes worthless.

"Anyway, the story is starting."

"I am curious to see what I have actually been through myself."

Mondstadt, the city of freedom.

Even the wind here carries a sense of liberty.

It was a bright and breezy day.

Kael, dressed in a short-sleeved shirt and shorts as usual, walked onto the beach.

"Fishing is an art."

He looked out at the calm water.

Kael raised his hand.

A blazing fireball instantly formed in his palm.

He tossed it forward without a second thought.

Boom!

A loud roar echoed as the calm water erupted.

Water rained down, soaking Kael from head to toe.

When the dust settled, Kael looked around.

The once empty beach was now covered in fish, flopping and splashing everywhere.
