Without warning, the beast swung it's neck towards Derek.
There was no dodging that.
It hit Derek with a great measure of force and quickly sent him flying.
The rest looked away, witnessing the trail of blood that followed as it hit Derek.
That neck weighed as much as three aeroplanes, there was no surviving that.
The beast then ran towards Derek, hoping to finish of the job.
Each step carried large stomps and footprints that followed.
"Hayyyyy", Boris screamed trying to get the beast attention.
No weaponry attached to him....this had to be a suicidal mission.
The beast turned around, leaving Chris with the opportunity of reaching out to Derek.
Fidget followed being him.
"Just distract him", screamed Fidget as he ran towards Derek.
Boris immediately took off.
He wasn't looking back.
He ran as fast as he could but was never out pacing the beast who caught up to him with great ease.
Woosh
The large acid gust of wind followed next blowing Boris away.
He became vulnerable, with no one around to help.
What followed next was a tail swipe that hit the already vulnerable body of Boris.
"Ahhhhh", a scream sprung out leaving the rest to turn their faces.
The beast reached down.
Teeth clearly visible.
Razor sharp jaws.
Boris trembled.
Chris wasn't taking none of that.
He quickly activated his V2 once more and charged at the beast.
Even with his immense speed, he wasn't quick enough to stop the beast from placing Boris into his large mouth.
The sound of bones breaking became audible.
The beast was making sure that no one would survive his rampage.
Chris couldn't wait any longer.
He struck his lightning bolt directly at the mouth of the beast causing it to spit out the shattered Boris.
Chris was devastated.
Boris had been chewed alive with the acid saliva as support.
Chris grew annoyed at this beast.
"Attack.....the eye", was heard next by Chris.
It was Derek, who stammered to speak such words.
He still laid for dead on the floor but the idea was heard and quickly understood by Chris.
The eye was the blind spot.
No need for explanation, he fought.
Stiking lightning bolt to the both eyes of the beast.
The stunning capabilities of each strike gave Chris a slight advantage.
He kept going forcing the beast to drop slightly vision becoming blurry.
He didn't stop, he kept going.
The beast kept getting lower and lower.
"Wait no...not now pls", a muffled cry sounded by Chris was then heard.
He began to run out of energy.
The beast saw the opportunity and seized it.
He lunged at Chris, leaving him stranded.
Derek was still under custody of Fidget while Boris was likely dead.
The beast leaped with a loud stomp.
Chris tried his best to dodge the attach but the long sharp claws still gave him contact and wounded him.
He fell to the ground.
The beast drooled on him, burning his skin.
Chris was likely not going to survive this.
The beast bent down again.
Chris flinched.
It's eyes clenched closer.
Ready to get another one out of the equation.
Like in a movie, Chris just snapped without warning.
His eyes changed colour.
A blue dim follower next.
He lunged ahead, striking his lightning on the eye of the beast.
The lightning bolts and currents carried more power than usual.
The beasts eyes were more vulnerable.
The lightning strikes were more deadly.
It had the capabilities to burn a tree in seconds.
The beast finally collapsed.
The left eye completely obliterated.
"You've done good", Fidget screamed at Chris with thumbs up.
He paid deaf ears.
"Dude, let's leave here before the beast wakes up again", another worried scream followed next by Fidget.
Chris did the exact opposite, rushing into the open mouth of the beast.
Enduring the acid saliva and what not, it reached the heart chamber.
Veins that connected from the rest of the body to the heart.....as well as how the heart beat in a fast pace and rate.
Chris frowned and bid a fake smile.
Then like a bomb, he blew up inside the body of the beast completely opening it's inner organs and killing the creature for good.
'Raaaa', a faint roar sounded by the beast for the last time as it fell to the sandy floor.
Chris' body was covered in blood as he tried to unravel what he had just done.
The explosion, flying ability....none of it were within his commands.
Still, all that energy used caused him to collapse on the spot.
*********
A sudden sharpness of light forced it's way into the thick eyes of Chris as his eyes slowly opened.
He startled.
"Where am I?".
"Oh, good you're awake", another voice greeted him.
He turned around, seeing Derek terribly wounded sitting beside him.
His eyes widened. "Am I in heaven?", another questioned followed next by him placing his hands on his head.
"Don't worry, you're not", Derek said tapping the shoulder of Chris trying to calm him down.
"So you survived all that?!".
"Yea I guess so? It would take more than that 10 foot beast to take me down", Derek jokingly muttered still enduring the pains that surrounded his entire body.
"I just can't believe we won.....and what about Boris, did he survive too?".
His smile quickly changed to a frown.
Chris could immediately sense the answer by the change of his expression.
Boris was dead.
Still, to have Derek alive was still a big bonus.
Chris felt his patch, happy to realize that his blade was still in his patch.
Everything had gone smoother than he had expected ignoring the state of Boris.
Chris stood up, finally noticing the figure of Fidget.
"Well, we can't stay here for long.
We don't know when another impending danger would stop us in our tracks.
We have to keep on moving ASAP", Chris motivated to the pale state of his crew mates.
"Let's just sleep here for the night, it's been a long day and it's getting late", Fidget sighed.
Chris couldn't say no, especially after witnessing how these men saved him back at the battle.
He sat down and looked up to the full moon.
It felt impossible to think that after almost abondoning them, his group mates still had his back.
He finally began to understand the true meaning of friendship.
"Four days left", Chris counted again in his head, feeling as though time was running out.
