Next Day;
"Captain, it's a new day, and a new ship is waiting for us. Hurry up!"
Miya shouted excitedly from the shore, waving her hands next to Frank.
Because of late sleep, Tyler slept till the late morning, so he was still yawning and rubbing his eyes.
Looking at Miya's excited face, his drowsiness receded. He jumped down from the boat and paused.
"So, what should we do with this boat?"
Frank rubbed his head and said.
"Burn it?"
"No!"
Miya and Tyler shouted at the same time.
"It's Captain's first ship. It's a place that brought us together. We can't just burn it."
Tyler nodded.
"Yeah! This boat is very dear to me. It saved my life in the storm and has been my home since I left my island."
"If possible, I don't want to throw it away or burn it."
"Then, what do you plan to do?"
Frank asked, clearly annoyed by their sentiments. In his eyes, this was a boat. Its job was to take them around the sea.
It did its job quite well, and now it was time for it to take some rest.
Tyler thought for a moment, and the image of Mini Merry came to his mind.
"I know! Let's take this with us. We already have a Shipwright in our crew. He should be able to remodel this ship and make it smaller to fit in our new ship."
"I have a few ideas as well. With the shipwright, many of these ideas can come to fruition. We don't need to leave it behind."
"That's an amazing idea, Captain!" Miya shouted.
"Whatever you want, you are the Captain." Frank shrugged his shoulders.
"Alright then, let's go get some supplies!"
Tyler nodded.
Three of them went towards one of the busiest markets in the Kano Country. It wasn't that big, so finding this market within an hour was easy.
"Captain, I'll go buy ingredients!"
Frank nodded his head and left. After buying those books and the ship, they only had a million left.
Half of that money was given to Frank so he could buy a month's worth of supplies.
On the other hand, Tyler and Miya went to one of the forging shops.
"Hey, Uncle, do you have any weights for training?"
As soon as he arrived at the shop, he found a middle-aged man working on a large iron shield.
The middle-aged man rose and welcomed them into the backyard of his shop. There were several items in his backyard.
Some of them were large weights. He saw dumbbells of various sizes with different-shaped handles.
Within just ten days, he went from one hundred push-ups to five thousand push-ups.
This kind of increase was massive, but he could recover in just a few hours and make better progress.
"Give me two sets of fifty kilograms, two sets of a hundred kilograms, two sets of two kilograms, two sets of three hundred and five hundred kilograms."
"Then, increase it to a ton, make just one set for that! I also need weights that can be wrapped around the legs."
Hearing that, the man gave him an understanding look and went to the side. He returned while rolling two large balls.
He also took out several large balls of a smaller size.
"Captain, do we really need this many weights?" Miya asked.
"Of course! Unless you are willing to stay on an island for months every time we land, we need these to train on the ship."
Tyler replied.
"But, wouldn't they break our break?"
Miya asked.
Tyler remembered the weights that Zoro used on the ship, only for him to realize it was Thousand Sunny, not the Going Merry.
He slapped himself in the head and said.
"I almost forgot about that. But don't worry, we have a shipwright. I can ask him to reinforce the ship."
"So, are you going to buy these or not?" The middle-aged man asked.
"Of course, we are."
Tyler replied.
A beaming smile appeared on his face.
"Great! I have a large cart that can help you take these to your ship. Total will be 340,000 berries."
Tyler looked at Miya, who grumbled but still paid for the weights.
Soon, the shop owner brought a cart, and they started putting those weights on the cart before taking them to the Happo Navy Ship Production House.
Because it was quite far, Tyler was the one pulling the cart.
On the way, they found a milk tea shop and ordered five sets of milk tea. Tyler drank it on his way.
"Hey, you must be that pirate called Tyler the Destroyer?" Along the way, the shop owner asked.
"What? Are you afraid of me now?" Tyler chuckled.
"No, it's just that when I heard about your title and deeds, I thought you would be quite cruel. So, you didn't destroy the Marine Base?"
Tyler shook his head.
"I did. It was an accident, but I did destroy their Marine Base. So, the title of destroyer fits me."
"Haha! Then, it must be an accident. True destroyers don't feel remorse about their actions."
The shop owner sighed.
"It seems like you are a man with a story, Uncle." Tyler commented.
"Who isn't these days? If you are a pirate, at least, you can live freely in the sea."
"If you are an ordinary person, you will either be attacked by pirates, criminals or be involved in their battles."
Tyler nodded.
Civilians of this world lived quite a pitiful life. They were not only afraid of pirates but also of the damage these people could cause.
Just imagine yourself living on a small island. Then, one day, a tall guy by the name of Edward Newgate fights his enemy several islands away from you.
You believe you will be safe until you find a large wave heading towards that island, but the problem is that your island is on its way.
That wave is going to smash everything on your island before making its way to that fight.
Of course, this was just an extreme example, but it proves just how powerful people can easily affect the lives of ordinary people with their casual move.
'Maybe that's one of the reasons why Sengoku fought Whitebeard in the Marineford.'
After all, the only island near Marineford was Sabody, and it wasn't affected by Whitebeard's quakes.
This also explained why those Marines wouldn't pick a fight with Yonko unless they had a clear advantage.
A single enraged Emperor could lay waste to hundreds of ordinary islands and thousands of lives in just one of those islands.
Marines did serve Celestial Dragon, but they were also a force of justice. Otherwise, something like Sword wouldn't exist.
"Hey, boy!"
The shop owner called him out, waking him from his thoughts.
"Don't let the life of piracy strip you of that humanity."
Maybe it was because he showed remorse, the shop owner wasn't afraid of telling something like this to a pirate.
Tyler paused for a moment.
He remembered killing that man called Saban and took a deep breath.
"Yeah, I won't."
"Hey, old man, don't put your morality on our captain!" Miya couldn't help but show her dissatisfaction, especially after Tyler's agreement.
"Hehehe! Your Captain doesn't need my morality." The shop owner laughed.
"We're here. Let's unload the weights!"
Tyler nodded while Miya grumbled, but still followed them in unloading those weights.
"Hahaha! Tyler, I've been waiting for you. Hey, guys, get those weights on the ship!"
The manager arrived with several of his workers. When he saw those weights, he immediately ordered his men.
Tyler thanked him before asking.
"Can the ship hold these weights?"
"Of course, it can. Yeah! Some of them have quite a weight, but this ship can hold up to fifty tons of weight."
"I see. I was thinking of asking Adam to make some last-minute adjustment, but it seems we don't need it."
Tyler brought five suitcases from Miya and said.
"This is fifty million."
Seeing this money, the manager hesitated for a moment before taking it.
After all, he couldn't be willful about so much money. Although he wanted to give that ship to them for free due to Adam.
He knew how many hours and effort his team had put into making that ship. So, he had to take that money for his team.
"Captain Tyler, please take care of that boy! He might be a coward, but he also has great pride."
Tyler laughed.
"Hahaha! Don't worry about him! He is one of my partners now. I can accept his strengths and his weaknesses."
While they were talking, the shop owner had already left.
"Huh? Did that man leave without even saying goodbye?" Tyler turned back and asked.
"Yeah!"
Miya nodded.
"So, Captain Tyler, do you want to visit the ship now?"
"Let's wait until one of our crew arrives!"
And, they waited.
