Ellen did not say a word on the ride back home, till they reached their neighborhood. "Did you really sacrifice us to get your properties? And are you back for us because you love us, or for your selfish interest?" She asked finally. Aaron had just entered their compound, when his daughter threw him those questions. Elena was beside herself with grief, as she had just listened to the same story that was narrated to her daughter by Christian. They stood to meet Ellen, and Aaron as they got down from the car, and he was yet to answer his daughter's question. "I really don't know what to say to you two. No amount of words can justify my actions, and I am fully aware of that. All that I am begging for, is a chance to right my wrongs. I apologize for the inconvenience I have caused you two, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I only wanted to give you two the best life, and now I'm back, after searching for you these past five years, because I can." Aaron spoke first, indirectly answering his daughter's question. "I have heard you. My daughter and I will think about it. You can leave now." Elena responded, taking her tray of chewing sticks, and entering the house. Ellen just stood looking at him, and followed suit when Aaron tried speaking to her. "Let's go brother. They need some time for themselves. I am sure everything will be fine, God willing. Let's go" George coaxed his friend, almost pulling him along before Aaron budged, and entered the car. Ellen watched as the tail of the car disappeared, leaving the compound empty once again. A train of thoughts going through her mind.
Meanwhile at somewhere in East Legon Hills, Henry was receiving a lecture from his father, who was told of Henry's actions in school last term, with a bored expression. "You know, I have had up to here with my patience with you. (Indicates his right hand on top of his head) If it is not, you wasting my money on girls, then it is me hearing complaints from parents about their daughter's heartbreaks. I always turn a blind eye to your playfulness, even when you hurt Pastor Mark's daughter, after swearing you were serious about her. Now, I have received a complaint that you crippled a young lady in school, that too, someone you were going out with. How could you do such a thing? Since when did you turn this way? This is not how I raised you…What should I do to you again, Henry?" Dr. Yawson had a grim expression, contrary to his son as he propounded his disappointment in him. "Raised me? You didn't raise me dad, grandma did. You are always out for surgeries to perform, or meetings, and seminars to attend. You are too busy to raise me, dad, and don't think I don't know about your affair with Dr. Jane. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? And one more thing, Amanda is anything, but a lady, and she got what she deserved. Now if you will excuse me, I have somewhere to be." He said, and left his father dumbfounded. A surge of anger rushed through him, as he picked his phone and placed a call… "Cancel my son's credit card for the remaining month." Terry barked orders and hung up. Grandma Rose stood at a corner looking at him as she witnessed everything that happened with a solemn face. She was Terry's mother. "Terry, is it necessary for you to cut his finance? You know your son, and this won't deter him. If there is one thing I have noticed about you two, it's that you love each other, but are too proud to admit it. Henry is just a boy who keeps on throwing tantrums, and rebellious acts just for attention. The boy is doing all he can for you, and you are refusing to see that. He is even studying to follow your footsteps despite his hobbies. I know he did wrong for hurting Amanda that way, but you just have to talk to him calmly, man to man. And concerning his playfulness, I mean, you are his role model after all, so…" She expressed her concerns, and ended with a sarcasm, which made her smile. She left him deep in thought. It was no secret Terry was passionate when it came to his son. He even made sure the school wouldn't touch him when he does something wrong, but report to him. He had no idea Henry, however, harbored such contempt for him being absent most of the time. What baffled him was how Henry got to know about his affair. He was sure he was very careful, so how?
