Jax's POV
My heart was pounding as I led Theo by the hand through the quiet corridors. The party was still going on behind us, but neither of us cared anymore. Tonight was ours.
I stopped in front of my quarters and scanned my palm. The door slid open. I had prepared everything earlier.
Soft golden candlelight filled the room, not too many, just enough to create a warm, romantic glow. Red rose petals were scattered lightly across the bed and floor, giving the space a gentle, intimate feel. The air smelled faintly of vanilla and sandalwood from the candles.
Theo stepped inside and froze, his eyes widening behind his mask.
"Jax…" he breathed, looking around. "You did all this?"
I closed the door and locked it. Then I walked up behind him and slowly removed his mask, then my own. I wanted to see his real face tonight.
"I wanted it to be special for you," I said quietly, wrapping my arms around him from behind. "For us."
