The night was supposed to be simple.
A calm bachelor party with good music, good food and maybe a few drinks but nothing too wild. At least… that's what Hansen thought. But Hansen's thought wasn't Lucas.
Most of the male employees of HAGSC were there. The chairman leon couldn't even stay out of it.
"Gentlemen!" Lucas announced, standing on a chair with a drink in hand.
"Tonight, we celebrate my brother's last night of freedom!"
Hansen sighed immediately. "I'm still getting married tomorrow, not going to war."
Ivan chuckled. "Same difference, depending on who you ask."
"Excuse me?" Hansen shot him a look.
Lucas ignored them both.
"I have planned," he continued dramatically, "the most unforgettable night of your life!"
Hansen narrowed his eyes. "That sounds like a threat."
"It is," Ivan muttered.
Lucas clapped his hands. We have a lot of games to play tonight the first game is 'truth or drink.'
Hansen leaned back. "I already don't like where this is going."
Leon smirked. "Oh, this is going to be good."
Lucas pointed at Hansen.
"Truth.. when did you first realize you were completely in love with Sunshine?"
The room went quiet.
Hansen paused… then smirked slightly.
"When she stopped feeling like a guest… and started feeling like home."
Leon nodded slowly. "That was smooth."
Lucas wiped fake tears. "My brother has become a poet."
Music blasted suddenly for the second activity. Lucas grabbed Hansen. "Dance floor. NOW."
"I don't dance."
"You're getting married tomorrow, you must dance!" Ivan pushed him lightly. "Go on, Mr. CEO." Hansen reluctantly stepped forward.
What followed…was chaos.
Lucas danced like he had no bones. Ivan and some employees joined in just to mock him. Hansen tried to maintain dignity but failed when Lucas spun him unexpectedly.
"Lucas!" he barked. "Loosen up!" Lucas laughed. Even Hansen couldn't hold back a smile.
Lights dimmed slightly for the third game which was the speech. Ivan stood up, raising his glass.
"To Hansen."
Everyone quieted. "You're not just my boss… you're my brother. You taught me strength, patience… and how to love without fear." Hansen's expression softened.
"And Sunshine…" Ivan continued, smiling,
"She's the best thing that ever happened to you. Don't mess it up." Laughter filled the room.
Hansen shook his head. "Noted."
Lucas stood next. "Oh boy," Ivan muttered.
Lucas cleared his throat dramatically.
"Hansen… my dear brother. Growing up, I always knew you'd fall in love one day."
He paused.
"I just didn't think someone would actually tolerate you.".The room exploded in laughter. Hansen rolled his eyes. "Thank you, Lucas."
"But seriously," Lucas added, voice softening, "She makes you better. And I've never seen you this happy." He raised his glass.
"To love… and to the woman who finally tamed the lion."
They all clinked glasses.
Just when things were calming down, Lucas clapped again. "LAST SURPRISE!"
Hansen groaned. "No."
The doors opened, not anything inappropriate… but a group of performers with drums and cultural dancers burst in.
Ivan burst out laughing. "This is your surprise?!"
Lucas grinned proudly. "Culture meets chaos!" The drumming filled the room.
Hansen shook his head but this time, he joined in. Laughing. Dancing. Letting go.
Later that night, the noise settled. Hansen stood by the balcony, looking out at the city lights. Ivan walked up beside him.
"Nervous?" he asked.
Hansen exhaled slowly. "A little."
Ivan smiled. "Good. Means it's real."
Hansen nodded.
"Tomorrow… everything changes."
Ivan glanced at him. "For the better."
Hansen smiled faintly. "For the better."
