*~Mirabelle's POV~*
I couldn't sleep the whole night. The memories of Cassian in my room—everything—his jokes repeating in my head, the way he jumped out of my window… everything just kept replaying.
Soon it was morning, and I was still in the same spot, sitting on my bed, staring at where he had left his mark earlier. How did he disappear? How did he do all of that?
But I couldn't think any further before my door burst open and Lisa stormed in.
"Good morning—no, it will not be a good morning if you don't start talking now," she said.
Stacy entered behind her. "Oh, Lisa, calm down. No matter what she went through, it must have been traumatizing. It will be difficult for her to open up."
"A little difficult? This girl has been stressing me! I was so scared—I thought I lost my Moonpie—and now she comes back and starts acting like a baby!"
Stacy came to sit beside me. "Good morning, Mirabel."
"Good morning," I replied.
