Chapter 36: World Seed — Level 2 Awakening
Alicia hovered above her world, her awareness stretching across land, sky, and sea.
Beneath her, the World Seed pulsed. The dull golden shimmer of Life Energy that had marked its Level 1 existence had now become a vibrant green, spreading outward like sunlight through water. But this time, it wasn't just the ocean lighting up.
The entire planet responded.
Forests breathed deeper, their leaves shimmering faintly with Life Energy. Plains grew lusher, soil richer, tiny sprouts already showing signs of accelerated growth. Rivers and lakes carried currents infused with the green glow. Even the mountains shimmered subtly, energy threading through rock cracks as dormant spiritual pulses aligned with the World Seed.
"…Wow," Alicia whispered, mentally leaning forward. "…I think we actually did it."
She tapped into the system.

Alicia grinned. "…Okay, now this is actually impressive. Look at all of you go! Forests, plains, oceans… even the mountains are cooperating. Good job, little buddy."
She focused, sending more Life Energy through the World Seed, watching it pulse in harmony with every corner of her planet. The forests' growth accelerated; tiny animals she had seeded earlier moved with newfound vigor; rivers carried nutrients more efficiently; and the plains—well, the plains had actually begun sprouting miniature wildflowers in clusters, as if the planet itself were saying, "Finally, attention!"
"…I mean, I could get used to this," Alicia muttered, floating above the green glow. "Planet-wide Life Energy is… kind of addictive."
Alicia scanned her world carefully. Even with the Level 2 World Seed active, some regions were still sparse, still developing. But the difference was dramatic. This was no longer a patchwork planet of isolated Life Energy pockets. Every biome, from oceans to highlands, was now connected in a cohesive living network.

Across the forests, plains, oceans, and mountains, tiny signs of primitive ecosystems began forming — predators, prey, herbivores, tiny aquatic colonies — all interconnected through the World Seed's green Life Energy.
"…This is way better than just an ocean," she said with satisfaction. "Planet-wide Life Energy actually makes the whole world feel alive. I think… I might actually like this."
But then, something caught her attention.
A faint ripple of energy, darker than Life Energy, pulsed irregularly beneath the green glow. It moved faster than the World Seed's rhythm, almost… hungry.
Alicia squinted. "…Uh-oh. That's definitely not part of the plan."
Her focus sharpened. "…Little buddy, you've leveled up, but I think something else just noticed us."
The World Seed pulsed brightly in response, its green glow intensifying — almost as if it understood Alicia's concern.
"…Okay," she whispered, a small smirk forming. "…Let's see what we're dealing with."
