Chapter 9 - Doing Something Different

Next day before dawn. Quash arrived at the park and was feeling quite hum of anticipation underneath his chest.

The park was filled with people once again. Jogging or training. Minding their own businesses. He warmed up and loosened his sore muscles. Moving his body felt like needles prickling inside his muscles but it wasn't as bad as he had thought it would be. Maybe because his body was already strong.

Just a bit of discomfort. Not any body numbing soreness. After he warmed up and his body didn't feel like needles were stabbing in, he dtrathed in and out slowly. Slowly drowning in to the insides of the deepest parts of himself. The noice slowly drowned out before being completely gone.

Quash suddenly saw a red, glowing ball at the size of a marble. It felt warm and violently vigorous. It has a layer of red particles undulating around gently and violently at the same time. It was s awe inspiring sight. Despite the size. But it was a common Aura color. Despite this being an attribute less Aura, it was still red. It was blood red actually. Most common people in this world has this same type of Aura.

And that doesn't change until they chance upon higher rank Methods but it becomes impossible to change by then. Just like his grandparents who used the same method and couldn't change the Aura because it was deeply integrated with them.

Quash had seen this countless times in his life but this was was first time he was seeing it after awakening Andrew David's memories.

He had always wondered how it feels to meditate and how do people actually sink in and just meditate?

He has the answer now, he isn't actually meditating but his consciousness is active somewhere else. Thus it makes the out side world look at his body and go he is meditating.

Matter of wording really.

But regardless of that, Quash focused his mind into performing just circulation part of the Aura Cultivation Method.

Well, in truth. The Method of basic skills are basic. Even for aura Cultivation Methods. The basic Aura Cultivation Method is encompassed with just circulation. Just with or without Natural Energy. Higher level Cultivation Method has more functions.

So all Quash needed to do was circulate his own Aura through his blood vessels and try to maintain elevate his mastery of circulation to subconscious level.

There are many advantages he could think of it, but first, he needed to do it.

Aura is circulated through blood vessels instead of Meridians. It is considered Third Most Tangible Energy Arctype because of that very reason.

Quash Willed a strand of Aura from his Aura Core. A wisp of red Aura with light red outline detached itself from the Aura Core.

Then according to the Method, Quash pushed it into Inferior Vena Cava right beside the Lower Dantian.

The moment it fully got in, the light red outline wedged itself against the walls. It looked like a caped wine bottle. The blood rushed around it, but the wisp ignored the fluid and stayed still for a moment before Quash Willed it to move.

It reached the Right Atrium, ghosting through the muscular chambers of the Heart before surging out into the Aortic Arch.

He drove it vertically through the Carotid Arteries until it reached the apex of his Brain. The energy crested at the crown of his skull before he commanded it to descend.

At the base of the neck, he forced the energy to split.

The wisp bifurcated with clinical precision, diving into the Subclavian Arteries and racing toward his shoulders. It reached the fingertips through the Brachial Arteries and then hooked back, returning through the Cephalic Veins of the arms.

At the center of his chest, the two threads slammed back together, merging into a singular, denser cord of power.

He drove the merged wisp down the Descending Aorta, the massive central pillar of his spine. When it reached the waist, he initiated the second split. The energy branched into the Iliac Arteries, screaming down his thighs and into his feet through the Femoral Arteries.

One final time, he pulled.

The wisps turned at the soles of his feet, entering the Femoral Veins and racing back up to the groin. There, they merged into the Common Iliac Veins, forming the final stream that entered the Inferior Vena Cava. With a sharp, internal inhalation, he siphoned the energy out of the blood vessel and locked it back into the Lower Dantian, completing the Grand Circle.

The cycle was complete.

Quash opened his eyes and looked at his watch. Only 10 seconds have passed when previously, he needed at least 5 minutes to complete a cycle. The improvement was insane. Normal people takes hours to just complete one full cycle while some can't even do that before their focus breaks and they become tired. And according to his knowledge, geniuses takes at least upto 1 minute to complete it. Because going any faster breaks immersion. Reason being, they cannot keep track of the Aura Wisp when it splits.

Quash doesn't know if that is the best the geniuses can do. Nor that he cared.

The reason he could sub-10 a whole cycle is his unnatural will for his level. With his will, the wisp of Aura traveled faster then ever. With his spirit, his focus didn't break even when split happened. It tanked without wavering. And with his Intelligence, multitasking was a piece of cake.

But Quash still faced a major problem. He couldn't move during circulation.

At all.

He could feel his body but it wouldn't move. A very uncomfortable feeling will spread through his body every time he tried. Like his body refused to break the habit of complete immersion during circulation. It has gotten used to that and refused to adapt a new habit.

That's why moving felt uncomfortable and taboo.

Quash frowned but tried again.

The same, deep, crippling unease spread through his body every time he tried to move his body.

After trying for few more time, Quash opened his eyes and ran his hand through his Amber hair. His eyes downcast in frustration and calculating.

After a while, he decided to go home and for today, he will ditch all other training and master this circulation Method within today.

Quash could understand if his body couldn't help but be lacking in physical stats.

But refusing to improve just cause it was lazy? That is not something he couldn't accept. He felt his ego thrashing inside him in anger. He always prided himself that his mind is very sharp and if he said he was second in the mental domain, no one would dare to claim they are first. But despite the circulation being a part of mental labour, he was unable to master it.

"Unacceptable."

Quash murmured before he left the bustling park with a belly full of anger and no where to vent. So he ran back home in full speed while trying to use the principle of Flowing Water Footwork Technique to improve his running.

He didn't know if he was running faster because he was angry or because he was in more rhythmic with the repulsion force, but one thing was clear that he ran a bit faster.

After he came home, he stood in his living room and started practicing. He was determined to move and not just move, make sure that he masters the circulation to such a degree that it happens subconsciously.
