Chapter 22 - weapon broked

Due to that monstrous pressure, many eight-legged attackers and even their tongues had awakened. What is this, after all? Along with the Ninth Elder, Manasdev Khurana is also astonished.

On the other side, Dev, seeing the black smoke rising from the center of the altar in front of him, becomes stressed. That shaking altar and now the old walls of the palace begin to crack on their upper layer. Dev calls out to Disha, "Disha, you said to just lift the Orb directly! What is all this?"

Disha calmly says, "The Orb is with you, and you have now activated the summoning magic. Many people are needed to perform this magic. This Orb was the core of this magic. It had kept this magic stable for a long time."

Dev says, "What do I do now? Can I defeat it?"

Disha replies, "Your armor cannot withstand even a single attack from it."

Dev remembers – the book that was here, could that do something? He looks at the system and says, "Give me the book." But before Disha can say anything, he remembers the system's condition – 'Open the function by leveling up.' Recalling this, Dev blurts out, "Oh, what's this?" But composing himself, he says, "Never mind, I didn't understand that script anyway."

Dev now starts thinking intensely, looking at the terrible disaster in front of him. He thinks about running away, as he is being crushed by the monster's pressure. However, the bridge has now broken. This monster is perhaps even more terrifying than that dead masked monster. Disha's voice comes – "Yes, much more."

Dev starts looking for something around him and thinks about how to stop it. His body is being crushed under the pressure. Dev looks beside him and firmly grips his 'mudgal'-like weapon, which he had found on the lower floor. Lifting it, he moves his body forward, as if climbing a mountain.

Dev thinks as he approaches – a monster is coming here through this ritual, and this process is being powered by this strange mark. Dev carefully examines the altar. On the altar, a circular mark was made, not by drawing lines but by writing many scripts in a circle. It had four parts. In all four parts, triangles were made in multiple layers, those triangles drawn with lines.

Dev thought – if this mantra and these lines are the core of the magic, I'll destroy it right now. Under that pressure, Dev raised his weapon and struck the altar hard. However, upon removing the weapon, only a few scratches appeared on it. Now the smoke in the center of the altar had begun to deepen. Dev looks at that smoke and realizes he must hurry.

Now the pressure was even greater. Looking at the altar, Dev mutters to himself, "Is this stronger than iron? Why won't it break?" Dev remembers – the bridge is broken, now he can't even run. Just then, Dev gathers all his strength, using his enhanced strength as well, and directly attacks the altar. With a sound of 'Dhaam', things got worse this time. The mudgal he was holding broke from both hands, an inch away from the handle, and the pieces flew and hit the far wall.

"What's this?" Dev says in shock and frustration, "This had to happen just now."

On this side, feeling this monstrous pressure – although those monsters did not fall to their knees, they definitely understood that this was the aura of a real monster from the monster realm, which they could not handle. The boss of those monsters, Vakratara (Ninth Elder), seeing the situation, decided it was best to retreat. He began to return to that island on his vulture, to take that skeletal stone heart. However, just then, he felt wind from behind his head. He quickly moved his head aside at full speed. A blade of wind-like energy passed by his ear. If he hadn't moved his head, it would surely have been cut off.

He looks back angrily – Manasdev had attacked him before he could stop his blood animals. He shouts, "There is a real monster in the ruins! A higher demon is coming. Will you still fight?" Perhaps he understood from Manasdev's attack that he was more powerful. Vakratara, aka the Ninth Elder, seeing Manasdev's silence, gets even angrier and says to him, "If not mine, then no one's."

He looks at that small island where the skeleton was and, jumping from the vulture, says, "Everyone, leave from here." Hearing this order, all the monsters quickly take out their scrolls and break them. Finally, Vakratara, laughing, points his finger at the skeleton and releases a line of blood in the air towards it. It is about to hit the skeleton directly.

Manasdev also throws his blade made of air towards it. That blood avoids hitting the skeleton, but the blood hits the island, causing a huge explosion, and at the same time, his three animals run across the fresh water and fly, crashing directly into the island and blowing themselves up.

With this, Vakratara, looking at the island with satisfaction, breaks his hand teleportation scroll and disappears in an instant. His mission failed, but he did not let his enemy get that treasure.

Manasdev looks at Rakesh Khurana standing nearby and then at the small island – the size of a large bungalow – sinking like the Titanic into that purple water. Rakesh Khurana thinks about jumping forward into the purple water to retrieve the skeleton and quickly moves his feet forward.

However, just then, Manasdev puts his hand on his shoulder and says, "I find the depth of this too great. Also, I think this is as dangerous as poison. Although we would be fine, going into it has the power to cause some diseases. We should leave it and focus on the blood of the blood bridge."
