Chapter 21 - higher demon

Among the surrounding waves, strong winds, and crackling lightning, the sound of Vakratara's evolving bones cracking and muscles straining was drowned out. Now, Vakratara had grown horns on Nasoor's head; he saw no reason to stop any longer.

He gripped the knife in his hand and, with a firm intent to kill in his mind, advanced toward Mukul. Meanwhile, Mukul, bored with his deep thoughts, opened his eyes. As soon as his eyes opened, he saw a black demon in the dark night walking toward him with a knife in hand.

Mukul said, "This is a real demon!" How did he get here? Not seeing Vakratara nearby, he remembered hearing that Vakratara had also received an evolution pill for supporting a secret family mission. Today, seeing a demon before him, his doubt was resolved.

Mukul quickly reached into his pocket and tried to take out his evolution pill. Seeing this, Vakratara mistakenly attacked him. Mukul extended one hand, letting the knife strike it, and despite the pain, quickly put the pill into his mouth with the other hand. Vakratara had not expected this.

Instead of dodging the attack, Mukul took it head-on. Before Vakratara's eyes, Mukul had swallowed his pill. Vakratara did not want to risk Mukul fully evolving and counterattacking. He pushed Mukul off the boat and fled with it.

After several weeks, when Vakratara reached the base, exhausted, he felt relieved and thought Mukul must have died. But once, when he went to the mountains on behalf of his family to kill a Thunder Tiger, he learned that a member of the Khurana family had rescued Mukul in a wounded condition.

In fact, they had come there to hunt beasts and found a half-dead human on the shore. Manasdev Khurana's elder brother had saved him, and because of Mukul, they had failed to capture the Thunder Tiger. Seeing Manasdev Khurana standing before him, he thought—because of the Khurana family, one of his enemies is still after his life.

Since the day the evolution pill emerged and he evolved into a demon, after his transformation, horns appear on the Night Elder's head. And this time, with a single leap, he reaches Manasdev Khurana. He orders all the remaining demons to use demon-kind techniques.

Vakratara, the 9th Elder, shouts—"Blood Mist, Beast Summon!" Saying this, he extends his hand and emits a red light into the air. The nearby demons see the light from his hands, gather their own blood, and throw it toward Vakratara Nasoor's hands.

The light from his hands absorbs all the incoming blood, thickening itself. Finally, he says "Release," and as soon as he does, the thickened, glowing red blood in his hand turns into red steam with a hissing sound and spreads in all directions.

In an instant, from that red smoke emerge many beasts made of that same red blood and steam—a lion, an elephant, and a vulture. This was a Grandmaster-level power. To keep the cave from collapsing, Vakratara has to reduce his power.

He grabs his weapon, jumps onto the vulture, and angrily orders both his beasts to attack Manasdev Khurana. He enlarges his weapon with a jerk and charges toward Manasdev. Meanwhile, the remaining 15 to 20 demons also shout and attack Rakesh Khurana.

This time, the demons do not attack together but from different directions. Meanwhile, before Dev floated a wooden orb, inside which were many layers, each layer inscribed with ancient scripts emitting a mysterious light.

Dev moves toward the orb. With an expression of surprise, he approaches the orb. Dev had never seen such a thing—who would believe it truly floats in the air?

Dev glances around. He sees a torn old book nearby, and next to it, a silver-glowing sword reaching up to Dev's shoulders. On the wall were many inscriptions and images of various demons.

Dev opens the book. He does not want to grab the orb directly. He thinks the book might help. He opens and reads it, but understands nothing. It seemed like a modified version of Sanskrit. Dev did not even know Sanskrit.

Looking at this torn old book, Dev thinks to himself, "Isn't this a recipe book? What do demons eat, anyway? If I find a recipe, I could definitely become a professional chef."

Dev says, "I don't need this thing right now, not for reading." He calls out to Disha and tells her to store it. Disha comes and says, "What are you doing? The orb is right in front of you, why are you putting all this away?"

Dev says, "Alright, fine. But how do I take it?" Disha says, "Reach out your hand and take it." Dev couldn't believe it was that simple. He stops overthinking and, following Disha's advice, grabs the orb.

As he does so, the system's voice sounds—fireworks burst festively within the system. "Congratulations! You have completed the Grand Quest. You receive 10,000 coins." With that, the orb disappears and appears within the system. As this happens, the altar over which the orb floated begins to glow, and symbols on that altar start shining—a circle on which many triangles were drawn.

Suddenly, a dark mist gathers in the center of the altar. Its pressure alone makes it hard for Dev to stand. The altar begins to shake, and a terrifying bloody aura spreads through the air, pushing Dev back a few steps.

That invisible bloody pressure spreads throughout the cave. The 9th Elder, advancing toward Manasdev, also feels this terrifying pressure, stops, and in fear looks toward the cave's entrance.

Manasdev Khurana is now serious. He says, "This aura is the pressure of a Higher Demon. How can a Higher Demon enter this demon fortress?" A Higher Demon is the sixth rank in demon hierarchy—one that should not be in these ruins.

It is unexpected, the pressure come from other side of cave ,it's a big danger some of mini attacker octaleg are awake from this demonic preassure.in this gungle, where the ruin persent all birds and animal are run for his life.
