Chapter 23 - demon statue has awaked

Manasdev and Rakesh Khurana leave that hall and begin to make their way out of that cave. The pressure was also coming from that direction, but the blood pool was also that way. However, the blood pool was not of much use to them, but in their family there is Mukul, for whom this would be nothing short of a treasure. And this was in itself a priceless treasure.

Manasdev and Rakesh soon come out of the cave. The place where they had previously seen a huge demon's corpse was no longer in front of them. They feel that someone had come here — but who could have taken such a large demon away from here? However, as soon as their gaze shifts from that demon to the empty bridge outside the cave, their eyes remain wide open. They hurriedly go to the bridge in astonishment, and there was nothing on that bridge, as if someone had made it disappear.

Manasdev looks at that bridge for a while, then looks at Rakesh and says, "It seems those demons teleported themselves to this side and also took the severed body of that demon along with this bridge." Although Manasdev himself knew that this made no sense, because teleporters teleport randomly — they can teleport 50 metres or more from that location, depending on the rank of the teleportation scroll.

Manasdev says, "Even if we cannot understand it, this entire fortress of demons has been discovered by a member of the Khurana family, so it is ours. It is certain that we might find something important. We must report this to the family and hold meetings regarding it."

On this side, the black smoke from the altar before Dev had grown as large as a dog. Dev was being crushed by its pressure. Just then, he saw the silver-coloured sword near him. Dev thought, what would this sword that looks like silver do — would it work or break? In any case, this was the only option left with Dev.

Dev quickly picks up that sword, which reached up to his shoulder and was as wide as a laptop. There was a long hole in the middle of it. Despite Dev's strength having increased so much, this sword was very heavy. Dev drags it closer to the altar, from where Dev knew that it was not possible to lift this sword above his head and strike it down on the altar. For that, one would need strength equal to that of demons, and while holding the handle of the sword, it felt to him as if he was gripping the arm of some strong human. If one tries with the handle, it is possible to hold it with one hand, but not to lift it.

Dev adopts another method. With great effort, Dev stands that sword upside down against the altar — the handle on the ground and the tip pointing upward. The result of this was that when Dev lifted the sword from below by holding the handle, the front tip of the sword struck that altar. Now, holding the handle, Dev brings himself and the sword into the correct direction, and then, while spinning along with the sword, using rotation and the physics of his body, he slowly raises it from the altar into the air, like a plane taking off.

Spinning 360 degrees, he slowly lifts the sword into the air. Now, due to this rotational force, the sword rises to a distance from which he can strike. Looking at the altar, Dev says, "This is the final time — this must work now." Dev jumps into the air. While rising above the ground, Dev did not want to leave any effort unused. Dev's legs go into the air, and he channels the strength of his entire body from his legs straight to his arms to bring that sword down. The sword looked as if a plane was landing on that altar.

As soon as he does this, this time something different happens. That sword cuts into that altar at a 70-degree angle and lodges itself inside the altar. However, the moment this happened, Dev's body was about to touch the ground — just then, due to the altar being cut, the ritual breaks. That smoke, which had grown to the size of a dog and had accumulated, contracts inward once. Dev is watching it contract in the air, when a strange terrifying feeling arises within him, as if this could explode at any moment.

Dev wants to bring himself down to the ground quickly, but before his feet can reach the ground, a sound comes from within that smoke, as if someone had started making many small explosions. And just then, what should not have happened, happens. Right before Dev's eyes, that accumulated smoke explodes with a very large blast. Dev, still in the air, crashes into a wall standing five metres away along with the wave of that blast. The impact of that blast was so great that the entire castle began to collapse.

And as soon as the gate of the castle shook violently, the eyes of those demonic statues standing on the pillars began to glow, and the dust accumulated on them fell from their bodies, and their aura was emitted, which revealed a terrifying personality of its own. But they had not yet descended from those pillars — perhaps they had not yet seen any human. However, there was one statue that had a veena in its hand. As it awakened, one finger comes down upon a string, and the sound of a melody spreads all around. This sound causes the castle, which had almost stopped collapsing, to begin collapsing once again.

As soon as this sound occurs, for some unknown reason, from the chasm below, from where the bridge had broken, the screaming voices of many people begin to be heard. And Dev, who had been unconscious due to crashing into the wall from that blast, jolts awake at this sound, as if someone had forcefully rubbed a sharp, pointed knife against iron inside his head.
