Chapter 25 - The Second Invasion Begins

The morning sun slowly rose over Emerald Valley, but the peace in the air did not feel normal. The valley was quiet, almost too quiet, as if the world itself was waiting for something terrible to happen.

After the aerial battle, the green barrier around Emerald Valley had become weak and unstable. Small cracks of emerald energy flickered across its surface like broken glass. The ground still showed signs of destruction from the Shadow Beast King's attack, and many trees were damaged.

Arin sat on a large stone near the Master Emerald, breathing slowly. His body still felt heavy after using the Emerald Final Strike. The power he released during the battle had drained most of his strength.

Mira stood beside him, watching carefully.

"You should rest more," she said softly. "You pushed your body too much yesterday."

Arin shook his head.

"I can't rest now. The Shadow Lord is preparing another attack. I can feel it."

The Master Emerald floated quietly behind him, glowing gently as if it was healing him.

The traveler walked toward them slowly, holding his staff.

"You are both right," the traveler said calmly. "The valley is safe for now, but danger is coming."

Mira turned toward him.

"You sensed something again?"

The traveler nodded.

"Yes. A powerful dark energy is moving toward this valley. It is stronger than the Shadow Beast King."

Arin stood up immediately.

"General Kharos."

The traveler looked at him with surprise.

"You already know his name."

Arin clenched his fist.

"I saw him in a vision last night. A tall warrior covered in dark armor, standing in a mountain of shadows. He was watching Emerald Valley."

Mira looked worried.

"That means he is coming here."

The traveler nodded slowly.

"Yes. And when he comes, he will not send beasts first. He will bring an army."

At that moment, a young valley guard ran toward them quickly.

"Guardian Arin! Guardian Arin!"

Arin turned.

"What is it?"

The guard stopped in front of them, breathing heavily.

"We just received a report from the mountain scouts. A large dark army is moving toward Emerald Valley from the north."

Mira's eyes widened.

"How large?"

The guard swallowed nervously.

"Hundreds of shadow soldiers… and several giant creatures."

The traveler closed his eyes.

"It has begun."

Arin looked toward the northern mountains.

"How long before they arrive?"

"By nightfall," the guard answered.

Silence filled the air.

Mira looked at Arin.

"What do we do now?"

Arin looked at the Master Emerald, then at the damaged valley.

"We prepare for war."

The traveler smiled slightly.

"That is the correct decision."

Arin turned to the guard.

"Gather all valley soldiers and defenders in the central field. Everyone must prepare for battle."

"Yes, Guardian!"

The guard ran away immediately.

Mira crossed her arms.

"We need more fighters. The valley alone cannot fight an entire shadow army."

The traveler tapped his staff on the ground.

"Not just fighters. We need allies."

Arin looked at him.

"Allies?"

The traveler nodded.

"There are other guardians and warriors across this land. If we send a signal using the Master Emerald, they may come to help."

Arin looked at the glowing emerald.

"Can it do that?"

"Yes," the traveler replied. "The Master Emerald is not just a weapon. It is also a signal of hope to all guardians."

Mira smiled slightly.

"Then we should try."

Arin walked toward the Master Emerald and stood in front of it.

He placed his hand on the glowing surface.

"Master Emerald… send a call to all guardians and warriors. Emerald Valley needs help."

The emerald suddenly shined brightly.

Green light shot into the sky like a beam.

The light spread across the clouds and moved far beyond the mountains.

The traveler nodded.

"The signal has been sent."

Far away, in different parts of the land, warriors and guardians looked up at the sky.

They saw the green light and understood its meaning.

The Guardian of the Master Emerald was calling for help.

Back in Emerald Valley, soldiers gathered in the central field.

Some held swords, others carried bows and shields.

They looked nervous but ready.

Arin stood in front of them.

"My people," he began, "darkness is coming to our home."

Everyone listened carefully.

"The Shadow Lord has sent his army, led by General Kharos. They want to destroy Emerald Valley and take the Master Emerald."

The soldiers tightened their grips on their weapons.

"But we will not run," Arin continued.

"We will stand and fight."

The soldiers shouted in agreement.

"We will protect our home!"

Mira stepped forward and raised her hand.

"I will protect the valley with my magic."

The traveler stood beside them.

"And I will guide you with wisdom and light."

Arin raised his sword.

"Together, we will defend Emerald Valley!"

The soldiers cheered loudly.

"DEFEND THE VALLEY!"

"DEFEND THE EMERALD!"

The energy in the field grew stronger.

But far in the northern mountains, a massive dark army moved slowly.

Shadow soldiers marched in rows.

Dark creatures walked beside them.

And at the front stood General Kharos.

His black armor shined under the dark sky, and his red eyes glowed with power.

He stopped and looked toward Emerald Valley.

"So the Guardian is preparing," he said calmly.

A shadow soldier stepped forward.

"My lord, should we attack now?"

Kharos shook his head.

"No. We will arrive at night."

He looked at the dark sky.

"Fear grows stronger in darkness."

Behind him, a deep voice echoed again.

The Shadow Lord.

"Kharos."

Kharos bowed slightly.

"Yes, my lord."

"Destroy the valley. Bring me the Master Emerald."

Kharos smiled coldly.

"It will be done."

Back in Emerald Valley, the sun slowly began to set.

The sky turned orange and red.

Arin stood on the mountain and watched the horizon.

Mira walked beside him.

"Are you ready for this?"

Arin took a deep breath.

"No… but I must be."

The traveler joined them.

"Courage is not about being ready. It is about standing even when fear is present."

Arin nodded.

Night slowly covered the land.

Then, in the distance, dark figures appeared.

Hundreds of them.

Shadow soldiers.

And at the front…

General Kharos.

Arin tightened his sword.

"They are here."

The war for Emerald Valley was about to begin.
