The sky above Emerald Valley darkened as the flying shadow beasts moved closer. Their loud, terrifying screams echoed across the mountains, sending fear through the air like a storm. The green barrier protecting the valley shimmered under the pressure of the dark energy approaching from above.
Arin stood at the front of the valley, his eyes fixed on the sky. The Master Emerald floated behind him, glowing brighter than ever before, as if preparing for battle. Mira stood beside him with determination in her eyes, while the traveler held his staff tightly, ready to defend the valley.
The flying shadow beasts circled above like dark vultures waiting to attack.
"There are too many," Mira said quietly. "At least fifty of them."
The traveler nodded slowly.
"Yes. These are Shadow Sky Beasts, creatures created by the Shadow Lord to attack from the air. They are fast, aggressive, and dangerous."
Arin clenched his fists.
"Then we must stop them before they break the barrier."
Suddenly, one of the shadow beasts screamed loudly and rushed toward the valley.
Then another followed.
And another.
Within seconds, the entire group charged toward the green barrier.
BOOOOM!
The first beast crashed into the barrier and was thrown back by the emerald energy.
The barrier held strong, but it shook violently.
Mira stepped back slightly.
"If they keep attacking like this, the barrier will break."
The traveler raised his staff and pointed it toward the sky.
"We must attack them before they destroy the defense."
Arin nodded.
"I'll go first."
Green energy surrounded his body as he slowly rose into the air.
Mira looked surprised.
"You can fly now?"
Arin looked at his glowing hands.
"It seems the Master Emerald is giving me new abilities."
The traveler smiled slightly.
"Then use it well, Guardian."
Arin flew upward toward the sky beasts, his body shining with emerald light. The Master Emerald followed behind him, floating in the air like a bright star.
The shadow beasts screamed and rushed toward him.
Arin raised his hand.
"Emerald Energy Blast!"
A powerful green beam shot forward and struck the first beast.
BOOM!
The creature exploded into dark smoke.
Two more rushed toward him from the sides.
Arin turned quickly and kicked one away, then punched the other with emerald energy.
BOOM! BOOM!
Both creatures disappeared.
On the ground, Mira prepared her attack.
She gathered energy in her hands and released it upward.
"Light Arrows!"
Multiple glowing arrows shot into the sky and struck several shadow beasts, pushing them back.
The traveler joined the attack.
"Light Barrier Expansion!"
The green barrier around the valley expanded slightly, pushing some beasts away from the sky.
But suddenly, a loud roar echoed across the sky.
ROOOOOAAAR!
All the shadow beasts stopped moving for a moment.
Then they moved aside.
A massive shadow creature slowly appeared from the dark clouds.
It was much larger than the others, with huge wings, glowing red eyes, and sharp claws. Dark energy flowed from its body like smoke, and its roar shook the air.
Mira gasped.
"That thing is huge!"
The traveler looked serious.
"That must be their leader… the Shadow Beast King."
Arin hovered in the sky and stared at the massive creature.
"So you are the leader."
The Shadow Beast King roared and rushed toward him at incredible speed.
Arin barely dodged as the creature's claw passed near him.
The wind from the attack pushed him backward.
"That's fast," Arin said.
The beast attacked again, opening its mouth and releasing a massive wave of dark fire.
Arin quickly raised his hand.
"Emerald Shield!"
The green shield blocked the attack, but the force pushed him down toward the ground.
BOOOOM!
He landed roughly but stood up again.
Mira shouted, "Arin!"
"I'm fine!" he replied.
The Shadow Beast King landed heavily on the ground, cracking the earth beneath it.
The creature roared again and charged toward Arin.
Arin focused deeply.
The Master Emerald glowed brighter.
Green lightning surrounded his body.
"I must end this quickly," he said.
He jumped into the air and gathered emerald energy into both hands.
"Emerald Guardian Strike!"
A powerful beam shot toward the beast.
BOOOOM!
The beast screamed in pain, but it did not fall.
Instead, it became more aggressive.
It rushed forward and struck Arin with its wing.
BOOM!
Arin crashed into the ground.
Mira ran toward him.
"Arin, get up!"
Arin slowly stood, breathing heavily.
"This creature is stronger than I expected."
The traveler stepped forward.
"Arin, focus your energy and strike its core. Every shadow beast has a dark core that controls its power."
Arin looked at the beast carefully.
At the center of its chest, a red glowing crystal pulsed.
"That must be it."
The beast rushed toward him again.
This time, Arin did not move away.
He stood firmly.
Green energy surrounded him completely.
The Master Emerald shined brightly above him.
"Guardian Power… full release."
The ground shook.
Wind blew strongly.
Mira stepped back in shock.
"His power is increasing again!"
The Shadow Beast King attacked.
At the last second, Arin jumped high into the air and aimed directly at the red crystal.
"EMERALD FINAL STRIKE!"
He shot forward like a green comet and punched the crystal.
CRAAAAASH!
The crystal shattered.
The beast screamed loudly and began breaking apart into dark smoke.
Within seconds, it disappeared completely.
The remaining shadow beasts screamed and fled into the dark clouds.
The sky slowly cleared.
The green barrier became calm again.
Arin landed on the ground and fell to one knee, breathing heavily.
Mira helped him stand.
"You did it."
The traveler smiled.
"You are becoming a true Guardian."
Arin looked at the Master Emerald.
"This is only the beginning."
Far away in the dark mountains, General Kharos watched the sky.
"The Shadow Beast King has fallen," he said.
Behind him, the Shadow Lord's voice echoed.
"Good. The Guardian grows stronger."
Kharos bowed.
"What is your next command, my lord?"
