Chapter 9 - chapter 9

Trevor's head was already starting to hurt from this new revelation, and he muttered, "What a messed-up world… Castlevania, and now Teen Wolf? What the hell," before standing up and pacing back and forth across the room, trying to think through the possibilities. First, he needed to be sure, but there was no way to confirm anything right now, and he still had to go to the training field — because the last thing he wanted was to see Mr. Hans in a bad mood.

A few hours later, Trevor was standing under the shower, letting the hot water run over his head, and the training — combined with the heat — helped him organize his thoughts until a plan began to take shape, though to carry it out he would need to use his grandfather's computer. After finishing his shower and pulling on clean clothes, he took advantage of a moment when Lucius wasn't around and slipped into the office, closing the door behind him and turning on the computer without wasting a second. For a moment he considered trying to access that website used by the hunters, but quickly gave up — without an account or password, there was no way in — and then he remembered something, opening the browser and typing Beacon Hills into Google. A few seconds later, his eyes widened and he breathed, "Shit…" because the town really existed, which meant the story of Teen Wolf was part of this world too, and that was when the weight of that reality finally settled onto his shoulders: all the villains, all the battles, everything Scott and his friends had faced.

Trevor took a deep breath and decided to dig deeper, searching for recent news about Beacon Hills and finding nothing special at first, but after pushing a little further he uncovered an old article — the fire at the Hale family house, where several people had died, children and adults — and he felt his stomach twist because he remembered that event all too well: it had been the Argents, hunters, and that realization cut deep, knowing another family of hunters had killed indiscriminately, because that was not the kind of hunter he wanted to become; he wanted to protect people, which was the duty of a Belmont. He pushed the thought aside for the moment, already having confirmed what he needed, so he cleared the search history, shut down the computer, and returned to his room, where normally after training he would spend time in the library or the living room, but now he needed to think — a lot.

He began pacing back and forth across the room, speaking aloud because he had already realized that thinking out loud helped him organize his thoughts, and he said, "What do I remember? In the first season… it's the alpha. The uncle of the Superman actor…" He frowned, then continued, "Then comes the lizard guy," and kept listing them: "The Alpha Pack. The evil kitsune. And those crazy doctors who create the chimeras." He tried to remember more villains but nothing else came to mind, so he sighed and said, "Alright… that's fine. I just need to stay out of it." He stopped walking and stayed silent for a few seconds before shaking his head firmly and saying, "No. I can't just stay out of it," clenching his fists as his voice grew quieter. "Not knowing what I know. And not after knowing that an Alpha pack killed my mother." He let out a deep breath and started pacing again, murmuring, "I can do this. I'm a Belmont," and continued, "The first villains aren't that hard to deal with. The rest… I can deal with them too." He stopped in front of the window and told himself, "But I need to get stronger," then tired of pacing, he threw himself onto the bed and tried to remember as much of the story as possible.

Suddenly, he sat up again, realizing he needed to write this down, so he grabbed a notebook he used for his morning classes and started writing — the villains, the main characters, everything he could remember even though he couldn't recall all the names or details — and then he began thinking about strategies. First, he would need allies: some situations he could solve on his own, but having allies would make everything much easier. He remembered one character, the coyote woman who appeared after the third season, and thought that if he could help her return to human form, she could become a powerful ally; then there were Scott and his pack, who had managed to deal with all those threats in the series, and though things might be different in this world — especially now that Castlevania was also part of reality — they would still be important allies.

Trevor frowned because something felt strange: he had the impression that the power level of the Teen Wolf world had increased, and that made sense considering that in his previous life, vampires and werewolves were two supernatural creatures often compared as to which was stronger, but now with Castlevania involved, it was possible that everything had changed — that third form of the werewolves was already proof of that. He brought a hand to his head, because just thinking about all the changes and problems that could arise was enough to give him a headache, but even so, he knew one thing: despite everything, he would be ready.
